my son received this letter and cheque also from york fluid cotrols limited research. i told him it sounds fishy,
so before doing anything tried to research more info about this. didnt have much luck with gettin any info. my next step will be to got to the bank that the cheques is issused from and see what i find out. and then if no luck i will go to the police and stop this from continuing, so for the future no more people will get scammed into this type of work. its a total shame that people like this can get away with doing s*** like this, and hurting people who are trying to a buck by doing work like. i am disgusted to hear about other innocent people being taken advantage of in situations like this.

I got the same letter as Johny, from York Fluid Controls limited research. I'm thinking that they possibly get your information from craig's list if you have recently applied to any of the jobs on the job board. I mean how else can they get your name and address?? I'm thinking maybe it's from a resume that I submitted to some random job. I called the number listed in the letter and asked "George Edwards" how he got my name and address and he simply said that he got it from wal-mart.. But i'm pretty sure that Walmart does not have my information, and even if they did, they would not share it with a random third party without my consent. My final thought is that this is a scam.

I received the same letter from york fluids controls limited research My instinct telling me this is Scam they sent me cheque for $1896.82 . When I called George Edwards on this number 647- 609-3875 he told me to go to bank deposit the cheque and withdraw $500 and called him back . I checked on the internet there is no such compony . The compony york fluid controls limited research is in Brampton and they are the distributor of industrial pumps I am trying to find out what exactly they doing . We should contact Law enforcement Agency . May be they want you to deposit their cheque and they can hack your account or something .

Got a cheque from York Fluid Controls and right away knew it was a scam. No legit business is ever going to pay you to do a job randomly through the mail that you never applied for or contacted them about.

just got a letter from this Synotek Products Inc and i made suspicious and so i check around over internet and i checked the company profile and the nature of the business was totally different and the name given to me is different from the above. looks like that's a scam. the question how did they get my infomation. Is there a way to report this to Consumers Protection to enable protect the public to this bogus people.

omg its a scam u guys.. may 30 2013... few dasy before i recieved the same letter the phone number chaged thought but the same robert person was on the letter i went to the bank diposited the checque but the bank put a hold on the whole cheque,, i called bacl the robery guy and a completly different voice came on the phone for the third time acting like him.....i told him they held the checque and he said call back when they release it and he just hung up i knew then something was wrong. i ran to the bank and told a bank rep what had happen and showed her the letter she went to her mamanger and it turns out it was a scam so when u use the money at all the stores to the bank it looks like u went on a shopping spree with the banks money and the bank will come after u dont be fooled i almost got fooled but my instincs kicked in

I also got a cheque for the same balance of $1896.82 but from York Fluid Controls Limited Research.  They also wan't me to shop with it for customer surveys and research, eg. Mcdonalds, Walmart etc.  Doesn't make much sense as they manufacture fluid control devices.  Safe to say this is all a big scam.  Already ripped it up!

i called the number, the person named Robert Douglas in the letter answered and i was told to deposit the cheque and call him again after doing that.  I tried searching the internet but i can't see anything positive on it.  i tried to talk to the bank about returned checks if ever this one is a scam, but they will charge me for 45 bucks!  well, that's something.  Rather forget it.

I recieved a letter from JS MACHINING & FEEDSCREW LTD RESERCH , and also enclosed a cheque of 1896.82.
they told me do shopping with that money.
i deposited that cheque into my account , but now i realize that there is no company no provided ,except this one mention above , and also a email address whose last domain is .co.uk
