They have been calling our cell phone number repeatedly for the last few hours, I called the number and it is a collection agency. I have no debts, none, and I told them that they have the wrong number and the woman was so rude and demanding. I told her the person they were looking for doesn't have this number and I told her to take our number off her list and she said it could take up to two days. I told her to stop it immediately or I will report them and she hung up on me. Horrible company, if I did owe them money I would never, ever respond to actions as slimy as this.

I just received a call from these guys, all the guy said is his name is Victor I kept asking where he is calling from and he'd say Toronto.  He get ignorant and asked what my problem is when I wouldn't say if I was the person and then when I said speaking, he said he represented Royal Bank (whom I do not have an acct with) and that they have a claim in the office, and if he could verify my birthdate!  I said no way, stop calling my house and hung up.  He was rude, and would not identify the company, just kept saying Toronto.

I had a very rude man call me.  I work reception for a board office and as per privacy protocol I told him because she doesn't work at our central office, I am unable to give out contact information for her.  After I told him that he freaked out and asked to speak to "someone in charge", I said no and hung up.  Not a way to run a business, even a scummy telemarketing one. He was very rude and unprofessional.

i have been getting calls all morning, it woke me out of a dead sleep at 6;30 had 3 more calls after, i didn't answer any, and no messages. I'm glad i didn't answer because i am pretty gullible :(

Called from 1-888-339-0334 every 2 days, told them they have the wrong # and don`t call back again. It seems to work (that is till they sell the # to another company,)

They can`t do that, they can only call 3 times in one week. They can`t call you at work, or talk to your friends, or family. Techinally if it is a debt that you know you owe, they have to mail you the info and stop calling all together

These guys have been calling me 5 times a day now for 3+ weeks everyday even Sundays, up till today the number was 1-855-788-4386, and now all of a sudden it's 1-647-788-4386, clear indication it's a scam I have not picked up the phone and never will for these scumbags.

they just called my sisters home and I have no idea how they got it and left a quick message with them and ran off the phone before they could ask more questions.

Dont give them your personal information, these scum bags are scammers.
I guess this is what people do when times get tough and desperate. Next time they phone you just forward their call to your local police. Their tactics are clearly unlawful

They keep calling my house everyday sometimes upto 2 times a day and when I answered its a pre recorded message saying that have a very important business matter against me yet when I did a search it was a collection agency. The funny thing is currently I am up to date on everything and don't owe money to anyone so everytime they call I ignore it or tell them to beep off. I actually told them once its against the law to call more then 4 times during the day everyday of the week in which they retorted back with that my info. was incorrect and they can do so everyday every min. if they wanted too and it is not harrasment.

they also try to trick you. They left a message on my answering machine "this is Mr. ?. I am from the firm CDV, and I have a claim here in my office against you. You need to call my office no later than the end of business day this monday".
They lead you to believe that they are a lawyers firm!

i don,t know this number and it calls me daily on my home phone. leave me alone or i'll call the complaint commission

These f****n idiots are a company that buys unclaimed debt from another party and tries to bully you into paying them.Their methods are illegal especially here in Canada.When they call I just tell them to take me to court which they can't do because there is a limit here in Ontario of 2 yrs. so tell them to F*** OFF!

same thing happened to me.  They called and called, almost every day but I don't like answering number i don't know.  So today, i decided to call the number and got the same voice recording that "Sick&Tired" got (the post before mine) .   Male voice saying that the number is not in service.  I think that they use IP telephones and that way you can make caller id show pretty much any number.  But even if not, certain internet telephones have an option of blocking calls by doing exactly that - leaving a messege that a number is no more.  So...next time they call, i will pick up, because now i am simply interested in who that was.
