One "John Davis" claiming to be from "Federal Bureau of Crime Investigation" left three threatening voice mails to me, accusing I am involved in an identity theft and immediately call back. If not legal proceeding will be started, arrested and charged. I called Toronto police and they transferred me to Canadian Anti Fraud center, http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/english/home.html

Got a call from 16478004510 and 16478002761....same garbage otherwise

I have receivied call from this number both today and yesterday.. Claims to be from Federal bureau and has litigation file against me I think some insane guy not worth bothering. There is no such thing as FB in Canada and no such procedure of crime investigation receiving litigation files. Scammer,  But will file police complaint if calls again,

Got a call from a guy saying a case has been filed against my husband for some tax problem. He said he is from "Federal Bureau of Crime Investigation". gave his number as 647-800-4510. Seems fishy to me.

I also received call from same number.

I am the victim of same.These guys need to be busted.

We have received numerous complaints regarding this FAKE AGENCY and this phone number as well as others.  THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE FEDERAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT.  This is a SCAM and you DO NOT  NEED TO SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE.  Block their number if you feel so inclined or just don't answer.  Report it to your local police if you are THREATENED or if you feel it necessary.  We investigate every complaint, it's just hard to pin these guys down since they are usually operating from another country using internet phone service to have the number look like it's local in your area.

DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.  REAL POLICE OFFICERS WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR THINGS LIKE SIN NUMBERS.  When in doubt call your local police.

When I came home from work there was a phone message from Mark Smith, Federal Investigation Claim Officer asking me to call him back at 647 800 4510, or else he will issue a warranty and threatened that I would be in trouble. When I googled and saw this blog, I got relieved.  Thanks everyone and hopefully police will caught him one day.....

I got a call from this number ... these are for sure Indian/ south asian for sur they were talking in Hindi in the background and trying to pose a office Sam Rechard and Ron Davis.... funny they do not even know how to speak English properly and pretend to work for the Federal Government........ cheap jokes

I don't understand why Police don't take action against these anonymous callers, who just screw your peace of mind by putting false allegations on you. i am sick of fake callers from phone # 647-800-4510 and 856-466-3294. they threaten you and disturb again n again. please for God's sake somebody give 'em a shut-up call.

I received a call from this number, I was kinda nervous. But later figure out these folks are fraud. Anyway, I informed to fraud department. It was a magic of Magicjack..!  

Just got a call from Max Wilson he stated he was from Federal Government, adising my husband is under investigation, aksed for call back on 647-800-4510, I advised him that if anyhting was wrong, would get letter in mail, have not rec'd anyhting. adv him he as fradulent, he stated ok , ok and ended the call..

These pathetic people called me saying it was the "Federal Bureau of Crime and Investigation" which don't operate in Canada or the United State, telling me to call back on the same number. So i did and in the background i hear some office calls being made, sort of like a call center and please note that this fool had the WORST western accent. So I decide to f*** with him and he hasnt called back.

Received a voice message from 647 800 4510 stating it is from the office of central crime investigations and there is a criminal charge reported against my father, regarding his name and identity. He demanded a call back. DO NOT PICK UP OR EVEN SAY "yes so-and-so speaking, what is this regarding"  do not identify yourself at all.

Yes, it is a fraud.   They are picking on recent immigrants, single woman and mothers, the elderly and those in financial distress.  Ignore 'em.

Most of them are located in India or Pakistan.  There 's nothing the local authorizes can do and the Indian government won't do anything.  Best bet is to invest in a call blocker.

Received a voice message from 647 800 4510 stating it is from the office of children lawyer and there is a criminal charge reported against me from the Federal Department regarding my identity and to call them as soon as I get the message. Beware of such frauds

I received the message from 647-800-4510 stating that he is calling from federal bureau of crime investigation and looking into criminal claim against my name and have to call immediately otherwise they will issue an arrest warrant.
The excent was not English and there was some notice from background. Sounds like a call center number.
Don't know how they get my name and phone but it is available from the phone directory.

Looking at all of your posts, I will not reply this phone call as it is obviously looks like a fraud.

I encourage everyone to share info so non of us will be trapped in the scam and loose money.

Got numerous calls from 647-800-4510 from some John Smith federal bureau criminal investigation saying that we have to report him immediately otherwise he is gonna issue some arrest warrant.

I got another call yesterday from mark smith phone no. 6478004510 left same massage on my answering machine that he is coming to arrest me on charges of fraud name and social insurace number I called local police  police told me don't worry block the number and phoned fadaral anti fraud department

It's a scam call.  Probably some yahoo trying to scare you into paying either a bogus debt or allegedly unpaid taxes.  For future reference - if someone is going to be "charged" - they DON'T receive a phone call - the police just show up and arrest them.

I have received multiple threats from this number. He threatened to put federal charges against us.

got a call from this number looking for husband....stating Federal crime and investigation dept......investigation complaint regarding social insurance number use........Investigating officer John Morgan( cannot speak English well)......message left at 11.30 am. Then again the same call came and the same message left at 11.34 .......realised this was a recorded message.
I called them back next day ...they said they will not talk to me....I said I will not pass the phone to my husband until I know what its about and they said thank you and hung up........NO federal dept will do this.....also back ground sound is like a call centre and I heard people speaking my language....HINDI.....for sure it is not a Federal Dept........BEWARE.......DO NOT GET SACRED...........only if you are scared you are scammed.........be firm and scare them away.

I received two calls. They left one message stating that information on my identity had been stolen and I needed to call him back asap.  I called him but got immediately sent to voice mail.  I suspected it is a scam and called the Toronto police to find out what I could do. I was told I can't do anything except try to get more information from them if they call back and not to give out any of my information.

Somebody called from 647-800-4510 and said i am FBI Guy. I do not know what is his purpose. He might call me again, lets see. He bothers me i will report to police.
