I didn't receive a call but I'm not sure where else to post this. I received a letter in the mail saying I won 145,500 dollars and enclosed was a check for 3,900 dollars. There was also a phone number I was supposed to call and speak to "Mr. Rob Carter" before I deposited the check. I called and he was very rude with me and pushing me to deposit the check and call him back. I looked up the phone number after I was done speaking with him and found it connected to "swipe and win" scams.

647-895-6246 is affiliated with an 'advance fee lottery' scam.  The company name is; Jefferies Group Inc., 3060 Eggers Ave Cleveland, OH 44105.  The potential victim is sent a letter from Rhonda Cocreill (Chief Operations Officer) informing him that he is a winner of the Swipe And Win Sweepstakes in the amount of $250,000.  Enclosed with the letter is a check in the amount of $3,900 (counterfeit) to cover fees that will be explained by claims agent Mr. Rob Carter.  This is a SCAM.
