I had a call this morning at 6:56AM PST from that same number.

I had a call this morning at 7:15 AM EST from that same number. Asked for me, when answered, just hung up (female voice)

Recevied a call at 6:35 am asking for me from my business name. Male caller. after I spoke they hung up.

Just happened to me as well....female voice...speaking in what sounded like Spanish, but I cannot be certain....I answered with my name...the voice said something I did not understand...it was repeated (I think,then again it could have been something else)...the last word or so sounded like my last name, so I said "speaking"...then the hang up....

I just received a call on my cell from the same number @ 8:33 EST.  Asian woman asked to speak with the moniker of my email.  Since I had used that email moniker and the number on a couple of job boards I assumed it was a recruiter.  The woman was very difficult to understand and the quality of the call was poor so I had to ask her to repeat herself a number of times.  She asked me to spell my name, which I stupidly did.  As soon as I did that she hung up.  I called back and got the recording that the number is not in service.

I called my wife at home to let her know and she said that the number had called just recently but b/c she did not recognize the number she did not pick up.  

Just to be on the safe side I am going to request copies of my credit report in the even that there is any attempts on identity theft.

I also answered a call from this number.  Sounded like a Mexican Male who asked for me and when I said speaking, asked if I worked at my current company.  When I replied yes, they hung up.

Caller ID showed California Call.

Got a call at 1:12 AM CST.  He knew my full name... hung up.  What is this? Annoying!

Same thing happened, woman with Indian accent called over a VOIP line early 5.40 am.  Hung up when I identified myself.

I will watch my bank account.

called me at 6.47 - sounded Indian. Male voice. number disconnected. knew my full name and where I work....

Called me at 1:30 am, asked for me by a an incorrect first name and correct last name.  Caller was an asian woman, she also called my cell phone which I did not answer.  I said no one by that name lives here, caller hung up.  Has anyone had any credit problems or other situations come out of this??

Same thing.  4:30am Eastern Time.  Asian woman said my first and middle name.  I said "Yes?" and they hung up.  I went to look it up immediately on the web looking for possible id theft issues but only found this sort of thing.

I got a call from this number 7:45 am MST on 2/20.  Didn't recognize it so I let it go to v-mail, no message was left.

Got a call at almost midnight last night. Said our name in the background and hung up. Sounded like they had an accent. Strange...and they woke me up!

called me at 6:47am Eastern on my cell then my home phone and asked if this is me "working with (my company name)" I said yes and he hung up. the "working with" sounded like "walking with" - I thought maybe mid-eastern accent. It was  a man. tried to call back but number disconnected.

Pretty much the same for me I got a call at 3:30 am they asked for me by name and hung up

Same as everyone else.  Received call at 1:05AM EST.  Woman's voice slight accent but couldn't identify it (e.g. Indian, Spanish, Eastern European) .   She asked for me by my name ... I said 'speaking' ... then mentioned the company I worked for ... I said 'yes', then the line went dead.  I wonder how they new who I worked for ... possibly from my email address.

This sound like to find if your in, if not your going to be burgled.

I received a call this morning at 5.45 AM from this same number. A woman with an Indian Accent. She said she is calling from Texas and Hung up as soon as I identified myself.

Looks like an Indian telemarketing company that cleans phone lists over VOIP. The originating call is from a VOIP line, and routed through US.

The Caller ID is a fake (you can basically put any ID in VOIP system).

These people start work at 3.00 PM in India and work over night, waged at $1.50 per hour and asks to call many numbers as possible to clean up calling lists for overseas companies. They do not have any clue whatsoever about the time over here when they call.

Received a call at 4:30 this morning, 5/1/08.  The caller asked for my wife by asking for her first name and job title.  I asked the caller to identify himself and he asked for my wife again.  I asked if he knew he was calling at 4:30 in the morning.  He asked to speak to my wife again and if this was her phone number.  I never said yes or no.  I just asked who was calling.  He said that he had inprtant information and would reveal his identity to my wife.  I asked again who was calling and he hung up on me.

Got call at 1:12 AM CST- he knew my name and hung up after I said "this is he"... Annoying! scammer?

This is pretty much what happened to me....phone rang 2 minutes ago...I answered...female voice with an accent (Spanish? Asian?) and I did not understand what they were saying....she repeated herself, and it SOUNDED like the last garbled word out of her mouth was my name...so I said "speaking"....then she hung up....

Jack***es called me at 4:45 central. I refused to pick up.

I also got a call from this number 4/23/08. I figure that whomever it is must have gotten my information from a database. If you've used your number on-line in any way, Purchase job board etc. They could have gotten a hold to it and is validating if the number is correct. It's just a hunch, but it It has to be something close to that. And they could be up to no good. During times like these I think that it's very important to report incidents like these that occur. Could be some scammer. Terrorist or whatever.

I also got a call today, didn't answer it though.  Called back, disconnected #.  An hour and a half later, I got a call from KG Service from 888-738-5815, who are a recruiting company.  The person sounds rather odd.  Not sure if they are related.

Received 4 calls on my cell phone number the last this morning at 1259am Central.  No messages left.  Any ideas on what is going on?

Received the call around 11:38PM EST last night on my home and work number. I let it go to the v-mail system. No messages left. I never bothered to call back. Since I got to 2 blank calls simultaneously, I googled the number and got here.. Hope this number is trapped and blocked completely..

I received a call from this number too, there is definitely some scam going on by the responses to listed here.  It was an Asian girl asking if I was me and mentioned my company's name.

I received a call this morning at 7:15 EST, the same thing, a female called me and anked me with my name pronounced correctly, I send speaking, then she hung up. I tried to call back, the number is disconnected.

Same thing.  Phone call received on my cell at 06:00 a.m. CST from 650-213-2757.  Asked for me by name and after being abruptly woken (and not too happy) I responded with "Who is this!?".  Hung up.

The guy asked for me by my first name and hung up as soon as I asked him to identify himself!

I did not try calling back.
