I got a text saying "Do you owe more than $10,000 to the IRS or state? Our tax experts can possibly REDUCE or ELIMINATE your back taxes.  Reply IRS to see if you qualify!"

Called the number and got message "The number you are trying to call is not reachable. PPS6180"

Unsolicited, Unwanted, Unwelcome, Cost me for a text message i did not authorize - and its the same as all here - a text message about settling taxes if 10k or more.  What i wanna know is how they get my cell number for this, i do not give out my cell for anything whatsoever - nor do i ever enter it on the web anywhere - why the hell would i since i refuse to be paying for texts or calls of a telemarketing nature, collection nature,  or frankly any type of matter that is not personal friend or family period.  I am thinking if you type *stop* and send that as a reply it will not send u any more - we shall see - i  will try that and if it doesn't work i am calling the FTC on em and well maybe i should send their number and company name to the irs too - hey thats an idea for new taxes to help out the government - SCAM TAXES woo hoo (we already have sin taxes, income taxes, etc.) - no stealin my idea now - i thought of it first.

I got the same text message. I cannot find any listing for the number anywhere but the area code is for the San Francisco Bay area!
