I recieved a call from 310-429-5382 and didn't answer it because I didn't recognise it. I called back and the recording said it was no longer in service. About 20 minutes later I got a text from 650-305-0301 saying, "Thx 4 Visiting Our Site. Call 877-399-7795 To Claim Your $20 Wal-Mart Card Plus $50 Gas Card!  Reply STOP 2Unsub". I think this call and text may be related.

4 times this month and I pay by the text and I am registered on the do not call. This sucks and cost me money for their junk!

got a text from 650-305-0301 on oct 15 to call 877-861-8581 to claim my $100 Walmart gift card.  I replied Stop, then the next day i got another text from 727-251-9364 asking me to call 877-891-9918 to claim my $200 gift card!

Your link says it is illegal to spam DoNotCall numbers. "FCC rules prohibit sending unwanted text messages to your wireless phone number if they are sent using an autodialer, or if you have placed that number on the national Do-Not-Call list."

By the way, it was implied in my message but I didn't say it outright: it is NOT illegal for companies to text you about offers and services (even if you are on the do not call list) as long as they don't include a URL in the message. No lie.

I found this out because I filed a complaint with the FCC about frequent messages I was receiving from an unknown source about various loan and pharmaceutical offers. They processed my claim and wrote me back, saying that no law had been violated so there was nothing they could do. Totally sucks.

I think it's a complete racket that companies are allowed to text you even if you're on the do not call list. Everybody knows that texting is more expensive and you often pay for a limited package. Why should I have to pay for a SPAMMER to text me? Bullsh*t.

You can put your cell phone on the Do Not Call list, the same list you put your land line on.  I did.  But some people think they are above the law and choose not to follow it.

Received a text from same number with offer of WalMart gift card. My cell is registered on National Do Not Call Registry www.donotcall.gov.  I visited the Do Not Call Registry and filed a complaint and I notified my cell carrier to trace origin of call and block future contacts.

That's really funny and stupid at the same time.  There is not a single company in existence that would issue a gift card worth a quarter of a million dollars!  Sounds like they're getting desperate!

I received the same call, the same day. I did text back stop. Haven't heard from them since. Hopefully you haven't either. I did the free phone number search, it's supposed to be a cell phone in Santa Clara, CA.

I received a text same as above.  I did not visit any website and provide my cell #.  Isn't there a "do not call" list for cell phones?  Rather than call or reply to unsubscribe, I will just ignore.

I recieved this text also, however if you don't reply "stop" they can continue to text you as soon as you reply stop you wont receive txt msgs from that number any more.

I just got a call about a Wal Mart Gift Card... I think I will notify Wal Mart about this. If it is a SCAM they should know about them using Wal Marts name.....

got several of these same things--also from 4153738156  also from 877 775 0532 to receive my $200 shopping gift voucher.  How do these places get our numbers?  are they random dials from a computer?  Can it be stopped from a no call list?

Received text message that I needed to call to claim $100 Walmart gift card.  I had not visited their website, so I did not call.  The text said to call 888-480-0213

my call was the same as as all above only 250,000 gift card.  they are raising the ante.

Same text about $20 + $50 gift cards.  I NEVER give out my cel number to companies unless I know them and I NEVER text.  These guys wanted me to pay $2 S & H for the gift cards.  Is this like the scam of selling CC numbers to thieves where they make a small $2 or $3 charge to a charity just to see if the card goes through hoping that the owner of the card thinks that he may have made the donation at a grocery or someplace else?  Then once the card goes thru they yank it for the big bucks.  I saw this on the Huckabee show on Fox News Channel   FNC Cable a couple weeks ago.  Unbelievable!!!   The Guest on Huckabee was showing how these CC Numbers with lots of info,( mother's maiden name, secret question, SSN, Etc.) were being sold for $3 or $4 each.  We need to really be careful - the world is full of liars and cheaters    and I'm not even mentioning the politicians.    Let me know what you think.  thx   BS

Received a text message from 605-305-0301 today, August 5, 2010 on my personal cell phone stating same thing.  "Thx 4 Visiting Our Site. Call 877-399-7795 To Claim Your $20 Wal-Mart Card Plus $50 Gas Card!  Reply STOP 2Unsub".  I won't risk "replying" because I simply don't trust anything about this.

Received a text on my personal cell phone thanking me for visiting their website and to claim a $200 walmart gift voucher.  I received this text yesterday also but from a different phone # (415-548-0776).  If anyone knows how to stop these, please post it.
