I have received many calls from this number. They say they are in the area doing home improvement, and the minute I start to talk they hang up. They also call and just stay on the line and say nothing, eventually hanging up. Are they checking to see if someone is home?

Called me today saying "whats up bucko" after I said hello. Then he hung up, when i called back it rang twice and said the number has been disconnected (seemed fake bc when a number is disconnected, it should not ring). Got a strange vibe from this caller.

I've received calls from this number all this week. I answer and they hang up as soon as I speak. I hit redial and then I am told that the number is no longer in service.

The caller said they worked for "a home improvement specialist." I asked what the name of the company was. She stumbled, sputtered out "STV" and then hung up.
I have had numerous calls from the 650 area code, all of which use the Caller ID "California Call" and revolve around utility upgrades, energy upgrades, or home improvements. When asked for details about who they represent, they quickly hang up.
