They are still at it.  Shows as "Out of Area".  Every day at around 9:15am from a similar number....

Received a Call from this number saying they were calling "on behalf of PG&E" the guy said he was with the "national renewable energy center" and wanted to send someone by to talk to me about solar options for my home.  The company website states "We are a referral company like 1-800-DENTIST.  We help you find the most cost effective deal in your area for solar."  their website is seriously weak if its even the correct website "http://nationalrenewableenergycenter.com/"  I would recommend if you are interested in solar that you call around and do the work yourself. these guys seem shady.

@christineandmo - I doubt this is pg&e - probably some telemarketer for some solar sales co. Sadly, I've been getting calls from this number (but no message left and I never answer the phone with numbers/people I don't recognize). I have gotten calls recently from another solar company SPOOFING pg&e's phone number (800-743-5000). Hate to block a valid number....

Got a call from this number (which when I call it back says it is disconnected). They said I might qualify for a loan on a property address they gave me if my electric bill was more than $70 a month. I asked if I needed to own the property. They did not answer just talked on. I said I did not own the property, they kept talking. I repeated I did not own the property. Just kept talking. I said never call me again, hung up and reported them to do not call list, which I am on. Guess it won't do much good seeing as how they use a fake number.

  I think some of these weeenie telemarketers have phone spoofing stuff as I have tried to either block or call them and it doesnt work with the # provided. comcast  needs to have an unlimited block list,although if they are spoofing, not sure if that will help as somehow the software knows if it is a real # or not and wont block the fakes

I have been receiving calls from this number at least 3 times aday. When you pick up the phone, they do not respond. It is extremely irritating and is harrassment.

I'm getting calls from 650-365-3691, 650-364-6788, and 408-156-2323. There's never anyone on the other end. Callback gives me a disconnected message. I filed a complaint with "do not call" on the first number. AT&T referred me here. Sorry, but it is good to hear this is not just my individual problem.

I've posted previously to other numbers. 650-664-6788; 408-262-4239; 408-262-4197. I've spoken to numerous reps, Calvin, Lisa, and "Very Rude Guy who refused to give me his name and the company name. Just kept saying he was trying to provide us with a service. EVERY TIME I TELL THEM DO NOT CALL and they ignore it! I just spoke to a William Montgomery today and when I told him I was writing a letter to formally request them to cease and desist calling me, He put me on the phone with a guy who claimed he was the Vice-President. (Not very professional) He said his name was Alejandro (Alex) Rodriguez, I asked for their business address and he gave me one (most likely bogus because when I asked for the Zip Code, he changed the subject). He said because they are not charging anything, selling anything, or asking for money they are not telemarketers and are therefore exempt from the Consumer Protection Laws and Do Not Call list and repeatedly argued he was.

BTW - Legal Definition of Telemarketer:someone who makes phone calls to a consumer, for the purpose of soliciting a sale of consumer goods or services, or for the THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING INFORMATION THAT MAY BE USED FOR THE DIRECT SOLICITATION OF A SALE OF CONSUMER GOODS OR SERVICES or an extension of credit for consumer goods or services, or for the purpose of obtaining information that may be used for the direct solicitation of a sale of consumer goods or services or an extension of credit for such purposes. So That they are not telemarketers is a LIE!

This "REFERRAL" service calls themselves National Renewable Energy Center (Do not confuse with National Renewable Energy Laboratory!!!) and try to push you into have a free solar technician come to check out how much you can save by installing solar panels. A1 Solar Power Inc. seems to be their favored referral. They most likely make their money from the companies they refer.

They call at least once a day. The call will hang-up sometimes because the auto-dialer calls and if an agent is not free to speak to you, it goes dead. When the number begins to get too much negative attention (posted online to warn others), they switch it to another number. It's highly likely they are using VoIP and they are spoofing numbers that appear on caller ID because when you do a reverse look-up, it shows the number belonging to a private residence. Call the number back it states Disconnected.

The company is located in Van Nuys, and uses a PO Box to hide behind. I have to put up with it for awhile until I get my claim filed in civil court. I am just going to keep tracking and logging the calls (I take photos of my caller ID record), and check off the number of violations. I've complained to FCC, FTC, The State District Attorney's Office Consumer Protection Unit (Which must be done in writing) and I'll probably try and talk to Van Nuys D.A. too.
