This number texted me too. What authorities can this be reported to?? This is wire fraud and I'm sure it's some sort of felony.

We got one as well...figured it was  a scam...we didnt use our debit card for anything we filed on..these people need to be caught...It a shame someone will loose money to them....probably eldery that doesnt know any better

Got the call from 650-526-5571 tonight at 10:24PM.  NO legit business calls at this time of the night even if they are in California and I don't do business like this over the phone anyway. I'm in North Carolina and this was to my ALLTEL Cell Number.

Knew something wasn't right so checked here and confirmed.  thanks to all who posted about this sorry scam.  May they ROT in HELL.

They also texted from info980@news.com and saiad to call that # for Tax REfund Issue.  Yeah Right but the sad thing is that people will fall for this and lose all their tax refund.  Sick people in this world.

I got a text message today info91@news.com and the number is 650-526-5571. I called the number back and they asked for all my card information, and then found out it was a scam. After calling them I called H&R Block and they said several people have called the number and told us to tell anyone else that we know not to call this back. I also called ALLTEL and they said that it was a scam through them. Someone has hacked into the wireless carriers and got out cell phone numbers. SO IF YOU GET THIS CALL OR TEXT PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND.

I got a text from this number. My mom and dad did as well. They all said basically the same thing all the comments have stated. I called the number and tried numerous times to get connected to an operator. At least 6 times I entered bogus numbers like 111111111111111 or 0000000000000000. I also tried entering nothing at all. Seems to me if this were a reputable company I would have been connected to an operator. I have no proof but my gut feeling is a scam. Gonna try emailing my local news station and see if they investigate. I'd love to see how this plays out.

I just got the same text stating that there was a tax refund debit-card issue and to call 650-526-5571.  The email was info91@news.com. I called back and the number was busy. Someone needs to catch whoever is sending these.

Just called H&R Block and they told me that it is a scam out of california.  Do not respond or call the number.

Just got a txt msg regarding to call th6650-526-5571 about refund debit-card issue.  Don't know who it was but has to be a scam or they would have called with a business name.

Just got a text saying the same thing about tax refund debit card issue. I called the number just to see and it was a muffled automated woman talking asking for my card number. Ha! yeah right! I am getting direct deposit on my taxes and never used my debit card information when I filed. These people running this scam need to be found and robbed of their dignity!

I got several texts from this number about a debit card-tax refund.  I don't know who this is.

Wants you to give them card number, exp. date and code for card so they can reactivate it. Just a scam to get your money from your bank.

I got the same missed call, caller left no message either... other internet site says that it could be H&R Block, but in my mind they would have left a message.

have left several text messages about an H&R banking alert.   Since I don't have a card (or bank) by that name, I figure it's just one more scam.  Will report them to the FCC as well as to the DO-NOT-CALL Registry.
