Calls weekly; no message; no answer when I pick up.

Same situation as Notbuyingit on June 26th.

Something to do with veterans. I hung up so I don't know if the caller wanted money or what. This number is on my blocked list now.

Just got the call, did not answer and they left no message

Just got a call.  No message.

Sounds like yet ANOTHER number to block .... just another scammer doing their thing.

Call at least once a day, leaving a screeching message, that hurts my ears.  I would sue them if I could.  Nobody who calls this way is legit.

This number has been calling here..last time about 5 minutes ago..

I was out when they phoned, but my phone recorded the number and above, where the name usually appears, is another string of numbers.  VV704134213001222.  Does that mean anything?  I phoned the 650 number and was told their office was  now closed for the day.  Seems odd that any legitimate company would be phoning on the 4th of July.

They keep calling.  The past three times I have broken my own rule and have actually answered so that I can tell them to shove off.  Alas, the line is dead as soon as I say anything.  WHY?

Keeps calling a time or two a day--never leaves a message.

Called yet again this time with yet another "name" on caller ID, this time as Not Available.

A very annoying scam call from an illegitimate organization.  FRAUD!!!!

Everyone should start calling them back to  try up thier phones lines so they can't call  as many people as they  like i.m going to phone them alest  10  times a day  and if everyone does this then they'll go  broke

Calls from this number with the Caller ID "PALO ALTO CA" started for us on June 18.  So far we have received six calls.  We do not answer calls from unknown numbers.  Everyone should have Caller ID.  It will save you the aggravation of speaking with crooks like these.

I called the number back and they answered with a computerized voice that is interruptable and picks certain words that you say to give the best answer it can come up with. They are in New Jersey! but use a Palo Alto number so that the bay area people that fall for the scam think they are legit!!!

Report to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If they call back, tell them you've reported them and that the FBI is monitoring and recording all calls they make to you.  That might get them to quit calling.  If not, you'll have to block their number.  Look online - there are machines out there, like Digitone, which block such callers.

Received call about an hour ago.  I never answer numbers that I do not recognize.  Promptly added the number to my call blocker.

They have called 6 times, always saying they want to "deliver medical equipment." First time I told them they had a wrong number and the guy got vaguely threatening. Since then, I say only "do not call" immediately and hang up, and as I'm hanging up he says things like, "hey now we're all professionals here" (?) or "you're making a big mistake..." Once they called back immediately and I just hung up. Not all my phones have caller ID, otherwise I wouldn't be answering. Would love to know where to report this kind of thing; I'm on the do not call list.

Called my phone but the number showed up as 116506189769 (1-1-650-618-9769). Odd usually there is only one "1" in a number, where the other "1" comes from is unknown. The ID stated "NAME NOT FOUND",. if this was a legitimate charity, wouldn't the name come up. I answered the phone and a man was on the other end and said "Hello", I hung up. It's a scam I see from the posts I see here. They have called several times, I mostly just let the machine or voice mail pick up. all of these strange numbers had started to slow down, but I guess the summer help must be trying to make rounds to get some extra money to go to the beach or something. I only give to legitimate charities that I know, and donate only to two organizations for veterans. Always check out any organization that you donate to and ask to see how much money goes to the actual organization. Just wish these scammers will stop calling my phone.

I have been seeing this number on my missed calls list for several days now.  No message has been left, and no one has picked up the phone when they called.  Caller ID only says Palo Alto, CA.

As a Vet and member of the American Legion, I just did a Google search for American Veterans Association.  There are a lot of groups that use those words, but none seem to be specifically named "American Veterans Association".  I would say this is some kind of scam.
