I have a charge on my charge card and do not have a clue who or what this company is about.  When I dialed this phone number, there is no answer.

Someone using this number just made a charge to our credit card for $657, and Citibank Visa gave us this phone number (650-622-2200) as the only information on the transaction.  It happened on 11/1, so this unconsented charging is still a problem.  Beware.

I work for a nonprofit organization and one of our donors recently alerted us to the fact that this phone number was listed on her statement instead of our organization phone number. I did some research and discovered that the phone number used to belong to VeriSign, specifically their PayFlow product, which was later acquired and is now part of the PayPal family. I called PayPal and asked them to check the phone number listed for our organization when our donations are processed since we are unable to view that particular detail on our account online. Paypal confirmed the number listed was 650-622-2200 and said it was likely entered as a default when they set us up in 2008. Obviously this has happened to other organizations so I highly encourage you to call the nonprofit you support and let them know that an incorrect number is listed for their organization and to call to have it corrected. You credit card information is secure, this is simply an old outdated phone number that was never replaced and was likely inadvertently entered in the first place.

I feel bad for the gentleman who acquired the phone number. Our donor said that he has a recording stating that he has received thousands of calls from people about credit card charges and to please stop calling because they have the wrong number.

This is a company that handles the Muscular Dystrophy Association credit card charges. (At least for me)

I donated to a money drive where they "locked up" my friend and we had to pay to bail them out. It was all for a good cause, but I was surprised by the charge on my card, since the name of the company did not match up correctly.

The $30 charge on my Visa statement listed "MDA EAST BAY."  I did indeed make an online contribution to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at about the same date, so I'm not considering this as fraud.  

My Google search on the phone no. came up with a couple of other company names.  The Visa rep I talked to said that "worthy causes"  often use third-party companies to manage contributions, so I'm assuming that's what's going on.

I don't like it that Muscular Dystrophy handed my credit card number to unidentified third-party outfits, but I guess that's what you have to expect when you disclose your number.  I much prefer to make payments through PayPal, and I will now be more insistent about it.

Recieved a  charge to my bank account from this number.  Called it and, it says that it is disconnected or change.

This number appeared on an unauthorized debit to my checking account. The person who answered identified himself as "Dave", but denied knowledge of "BIRCO LLC", which was the company name associated with that charge. Canceled my debit card as a precaution. Suspect this is a "fishing" operation.

$$ was taken from my account w/o my knowledge or permission.  The above # was disconnected when I called today, 8/26/11.  listed as Society of Dermatop 650-622-2200 IL on my bank statement.

I never rec'vd a phone call, so this info is being siphoned through some other source.
