BTW, at the end of the text, it said  "text stop to cancel." I did not text back. My thoughts were, if I text "Stop", they will know it is a valid, working number. Who knows what they'll do with my number, right? You never know nowadays, scam seems to be a part of every day life.

I got the same text. I put the number in my SPAM list. 1) What legitimate company would send a text rather than a call or an email? 2) I live somewhere near Chicago, why would I want to apply for a job in Daly CIty, that would be make a really long commute, don't you think? lol Oh, the joy of being unemployed and applying for jobs online, your information leaks to unknown places and you become vulnerable to predatory/b***s*** companies like this, adding insult to injury!

@Darlene agreed. I called back and it was a ? They were going to get me a job, BUT 1ST! Ya. I told them I wasnt a citizen and that i didnt have papers! He hung up immediately! Maybe thats the solution.

Got the exact same message a minute ago. Prior to that, I got another SMS from another company who was interested.

Earlier this week, I got a few more exactly the same SMS messages, but from different area chides in the US.

If this isn't scam....
No, I'm not calling or texting nameless senders, nameless companies about nameless positions to tell them that I'm interested.

She ax me if I had 15 minutes for the process I told her if she put someone on the phone that spoke proper English

Wanted to ask me if I wish to have a position as a Desktop Technician.  When I told her her number came up as a duct cleaner in Daily City, CA she just giggled. Sounded like a boiler room type operation.
Claimed to be a Career Advisor job site which will send job leads to my email once per week and have employers call my number if they have anything. I asked the girl how she got paid. She said "hourly". I asked who they sold my info to and she claimed to have no knowledge about selling info.  So we will see what happens next.  If they bore me, I will simply block them.

Received a text saying:  Hi Darlene.  We'd like to speak with you about the position you applied for on our job board.  Call 6507133184.  Text STOP to cancel.

Who in their right mind would send you a text for a job?  I received a similar one 2 days ago from a 925# which I believe might be calling about schooling!  

I keep getting text messages about a job I applied for...really??????
