LOVE this suggestion - thanks James. Yep, I'm a Stanford alum as well - I wonder if they know their fund-raising arm is behaving this way...

Create an address book entry called "Don't Answer" and add these numbers to it.  When they call back, you just glance at your phone and you know not to answer.

I'm also a Stanford alum, so it's pretty clear this is the annual fund-raising drive.

recieved numerous calls all were hang-ups attempts to return calls result in busy tone.

Received a hang-up call two evenings in a row now.  Likely telemarketing spammers fishing for numbers.

I answered the phone. It was a sophmore from Stanford asking me to donate.  I told her I will no longer be donating until Stanford stops calling my phone and not leaving messages.

I received a call tonight at 8:07 from 650-723-5818, with a hang-up and no message.  

Perhaps it is Stanford University--where I graduated in 1972--calling to give me an honorary advanced degree, or book a graduation speech.

Just looked it up on reverse lookup.  It is from Palo Alto, CA.  It could be from Stanford University looking for money, but they left no message.

Called my cell last night at 8:01 PM and did not leave a message.
