Called 03/09/09 at 3:00 PM. Left no message and hung up.

recieved call this morning;didn't answer. I am supposed to have solicited calls blocked.

Older male wanting donations for returning injured vets.  He refused to tell me where he was calling from or the name of the organization.  He said he would send a receipt for the tax deductable donation.  I told him I don't trust phone solicitors with such scanty info.  He got angry & hung up.  I figured he is a scammer!

Same thing as everyone else (dumb message).  Isn't there a keypad (#3 I think) that you can press repeatedly when you pick up and it signals the other end that your number is disconnected?

I got a message on my answer machine that sounded like a male prerecorded voice with the last quarter of a message that couldn't be understood.

Caller ID reads: SBC MESSAGING 650-878-2159
A computerized voice saying, "Due to a technical difficulty on our end we are unable to speak with you."
Who are this people anyway.

I get the exact same thing!  I picked up once before it got to my answering machine, and it still said the same thing.  If they're having technical difficulties and can't tell me why they're calling, why do they call in the first place??

recorded message stated: due to a technical difficulty on our end, we are unable to speak with you at this time. good bye.

Now they're calling for Veterans Assistance asking for donations for returning troops.
I asked if 100% went to the Veterans and was told they were just starting up so, apparently not.

I don't bother to answer his calls, as it is ringing I google the number and see stuff like this, figured ANYONE using the thin excuse "POLICE" to cover their very illicit activity is organized crime, as surely the cops would have shut ordinary scamsters down by now.

rECIEVED 6/13/09 AT 9:45 AM FROM SBC MESSAGING FOR ME. WAS NOT AT HOME AT THE TIME. MALE VOICE WITH SLIGHTLY INTIMIDATING TONE ASKED IF I WAS THERE. WAS TOLD NO AND SAID WOULD TRY BACK AGAIN LATER. DO NOT WANT HIM TO CALL MY NUMBER EVER AGAIN.L

Some police organization fund raising. Recording offered to removeme from their private caller list.

got a voicemail tonight, this man sneezed twice, then said, "oh well, let's roll" then hung up
older gruff type voice

Got a call from this # tonight and the caller said he was with a disabled veterans charity fund raiser.

Got a call every day this week.  Caller ID = SBC Messaging.  Finally set the answering machine to reject the call.  This usually stops it in a week or so.

Keeps calling with a male voice and says "oh" groaningly. Very unnerving.

I answered the phone and a male answered rudely asking for a particular person's name.  But when I asked for the reason of call, he said "oh man" and hang up.

(a scam) It is a sales call soliciting local law enforcement charity events at $40.00. A male recorded message. Also asking that you leave him a message with a phone number so he can put you on his "do not call list"

My callder-id shows 3 calls from this number, as SBC messaging. Didn't leave any message though.

exactly the same b***s***.   I shall NOT call them back.
