No message

We received several calls at various times.  Caller ID shows SBC Messaging.  No messages were left.  When I tried to answer a call, there was nothing but dead air.

Just got a missed call from this number.

Just because they keep calling, when I did answer, I answered 'no' when they asked any question I said no.... just kept saying no, and before I hung up, I said 'remove me from your 'call list' forever.  Goodbye.  They do this every single year about this time and in the spring.

Same calls many times as others here, from SBC messaging. I, too, am on a Do Not Call but some slip through, it seems. Finally answered. He said he was from a police organization, but mumbled over the name, probably a farce. Wants me to buy tickets for kids to attend an event. Said he'd send the tickets in the mail if I promised to pay the $40 when I got them. Now if he sends ME the tickets how's he going to send the KIDS to the event. He just collects the money. I said I'm not doing this, goodbye." I did NOT give him my address altho if he bought my phone no. from someone, he may have the address as well. I suspect he has nothing to do with the police dept. I've heard that telemarketers saying they are with a police organization, even if they are legitimate, give most of the money they collect to themselves and very little goes where you intend. Don't get sucked in. There's a lot of scams out there.

unwanted phone calls from the above number everyday

I do not want this call coming to my house from the above phone number.  They call at least 2 times a day.

I get calls from the above number every day for the last 2 weeks.  If I pick up the phone goes dead.  Why waste the time to call and the money to call if you don't want to talk.  This is very annoying, especially when I am on the no call list.

I have received at least one call a night from this number. Often the message ends with "we apologize that we cannot speak to you in person" and then the robot ends the call.  I am not an sbc customer either.

Same here, same error message, same annoyance. just added to my black list on my Ooma.

We received several calls in the last couple of days.  When I pick up the call, I get nothing but dead air.  There are no messages left on the answering machine.  This is incredibly annoying.  I feel that anyone who is exempt from the 'Do not call list' should be required to leave a message, as well as only be allowed to call once.

Received 2 of these annoying calls in the past two days.

May 10 - they've been calling every afternoon/evening for a couple of weeks, usually no message or a recording about being sorry for the incovenience, tonight I picked up and said "now I'm starting to get pissed off, take me off this list" a guy laughted an hung up. I feel irritatted.

Just got a call stating "Due to a technical problem on our side we are unable to speak with you directly"  They then just disconnect.  I called the number and got only a message.  They say they are exempt from the do not call list.  They are selling tickets for a charity. Same as others on this thread.

I called 650-878-4807 & it sounds like a police charity org soliciting donations. These organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call List.

Have received several nuisance calls from this number, at varying times of the day.  Always "Due to a technical problem on our side we are unable to speak with you directly".  It's like why are you calling them.  Says it's "SBC Messaging."

Every time I've received the call, probably about 11 times now, the recorded voice states; "Due to a technical problem on our side we are unable to speak with you directly"  They then just disconnect.  I called the number and got only a message.  They say they are exempt from the do not call list.  They are selling tickets for a charity.  They ask you to state your telephone on the answering machine to be removed.  I would guess it is safe to leave number, since they already have it.

have received a few calls from this number -- on both my phone lines.  i am on the do not call list, so they are dialing all numbers in the exchange it seems.  they claim to be sbc messaging (am not an sbc customer) -- i redailed the # to hear it and they are selling something but i did not listen to the message long enough to know what.  it's all computerized/automated -- no live person.
