Same thing here, they call every two-three days and let it ring once, then hang up. Never leave a message. Doesn't seem legit to me.

Debt Collector
Here is the deal with any collection agency like I. C. Systems. If you were late on a payment, and you tried to make or pay off the agency you owed, and they refuse to take your payment. According to law "a payment tenderd is a payment made, whether or not they accept the payment" there for the payment was made! It is done according to law. This is in all US code and State code.

A certified letter, return receipt requested, letter should be sent with the US and State code, along with the attempt to pay the origional debt to where the debt was aquired. This gives them notice the debt was discharged whether they accepted it or not. Look it up and use it! Google "a payment tendered is a payment made, whether they accept it or not" and be sure and include in your letter a caveat, "any further attempts to collect an alleged debt, is a malitious tresspass against us, and will be followed with legal actions against you.. or something against you.... It helps to record the phone call where an attempt is made to pay the debtor, or a witness or two where the debt was attempted to be paid.

Debt Collector
These debt collectors are real busy! They are just 1 of many for me unfortunately. I am personally disabled and have several, several doctor and hospital bills, and several have gone on to collections. I do receive disability pay and my wife works as well, but we just don't make enough to pay all of those bills minimum payments. I don't have any credit card bills, thankful for that. Top it all off with the mistake I made on my taxes in 2008 when I finally got my disability settlement, IRS is deducting $120.00/month for that. Alls I know guys and gals is when it rains it pours. lol, I do the best that I can, but these collectors have my wife and myself on edge all the time. I try to remember  that there is always someone out there thats got it worse than me. Take it easy man,  Barney Buck and Della Doe

Self righteous jerks like you with no compassion for those who are struggling right now (and there are a lot of people struggling right now) ought to live without for awhile and just see how it really feels.  No food, no home, no car, no job, no s***.  Just keep remembering your attitude buddy, one day that's all you'll have.

This is what I did when I started receiving multiple daily calls from this company over a bill that had been paid at time of service but for some reason still went to collects and despite finally clearing all that up these bottom feeders managed to get my information. I looked up their address and then a sample of a "Do Not Call" letter (because it was getting quite expensive to have my attorney draw up letter after letter to which they completely ignored anyway) and mailed it to them by certified mail. Once they received this letter they could no longer contact me via phone, only snail mail. Give it two weeks though. If they continue to call you after two weeks then file a complaint with the FTC. They will be fined heavily and if the FTC receives enough complaints they will shut them down. Here is their mailing address and a sample letter to stop debt collection calls. Just add the appropriate information, send it certified mail, and wait two weeks for peace and quiet. They most likely will not contact you via snail mail because of the expensive involved. Do this with any company that you do not wish to contact you via phone call. Good luck!

Mr./Ms. Collector,

I am writing in response to your constant phone calls!

According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,   [15 USC 1692c] Section 805(c): CEASING COMMUNICATION: You must cease all communication with me after being notified in writing that I no longer wish to communicate with you. Therefore, I demand that you stop calling me at home, at work, on my cell phone or at any other location!

In accordance with the federal FDCPA, now that you have received this "stop calling" letter, you may only contact me to inform me that you:

are terminating further collection efforts;
invoking specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by you or your company; or
intend to invoke a specified remedy.

Receive calls from this number. Never rings more them once. Call it back and was asked for my full name, SS# and birthday. Refused to give this and was told they would sue me for failure to verify my information.  Go ahead please.....I will win!! I will not give any information to someone over the phone. If they are a debt collector - they do not need this  - they should have all the information they need. Sound like a scam to me. I have no outstanding debt issues that I am aware of. Hope they quite harassing people.

I am on Medicaid, and Yes, the lady which I re-called and contacted acted very "stern", and adamant... about the information she wanted me to disclose to her. And the company? I treat these companies like they treat me, but with my own sense of disrespect, and pronounced insulting pun regardless of what they ask me to stick in their collection agenda.

Let 'em have it. Freedom of Speech is perfect for expressing how you feel, with bonus insulting hilarity on top of itself. They expect us to get them rich off of our Sickness. That is just cruel, so play cruel back.

My regards.

I'm not really sure who this company is or what they're calling for, I think originally they may have called looking for my husband. Now they call, it rings once & they hang up so I programmed this and several other number like it into my phone & assigned them a ringtone that beeps once & does nothing else.
Anytime a collection company calls me I make them give me the information they have & I tell them whether it's correct or not. If they won't do that I tell them to send me something in writing because I will not give my personal information over the phone.  They don't like it but I figure if it's a valid debt they shouldn't have any qualms with sending me a paper bill.

You can find out how to sue collections companies and win. Search the internet for the facts on how to do this. The information is available. You'll love the fact that the collectors are bound by several rules and you are bound by very few of those rules.
The collectors are being sued all of the time.  More and more people are getting wise to the methods used to collect and are fighting back. You should fight back too.
    Don't let them harass you.

Time to put on the brass knuckles and let 'em know that you cannot be pushed around.

You need to use blocking on your 'phone to stop them. This is NCO collections, bottom feeders who are trying to get you to pay money for whatever reason. They are basically buying your bills for pennies on the dollar and trying to make a profit by getting you to pay ( any amount ).
You don't have to pay 100% of anything to collections companies. Call it a business decision, if you want. There is no moral issue here.  What is immoral is the game the banks and collections people play.
They get 100% write off while creating money out of thin air.  You are made to feel like you are immoral because you can't pay.  They harass you until you give them "something" then they have simply "won" a game where they act as though they know all of the rules.
Number one rule is don't give in. Don't give ANY information. These callers are on commission and should be treated no better than the clowns that they are.  Give them NO respect. They DO NOT deserve it.

WTF!  These people are SO annoying!  They had been calling me every single day for 2 weeks!  I had called back a few times and finally was able to talk to a real person.  They were trying to get personal information out of me so I hung up on them...they kept calling.  Finally I called back and told them I don't know the person you're looking for and I haven't received a call from them for almost a week now.

I completely understand about not being able to pay bills at this time.  I had a stroke last March & haven't been able to work since.  It may or may not be bill collector, but I do know this, if they are not stored in my cell phone as someone I know, I will not pick up the phone.  They 'choose' to NOT leave a message, so it is not my problem.  They shouldn't be calling my cell phone anyway, it is unlisted, unpublished, and I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but telemarketers and some stupid Spanish speaking (&^&$ computer calls all the time, what the freak is up with that.  I am not Mexican!  I can't pay anyone either & I am sure we are not the only ones, in this country at this time, in this boat.

When I answered, I pretty much yelled at the phone, because this number has been calling me for the past few days with nobody actually being on the line. Then a computer voice told me to 'please hold the line while I connect you.' after a few minutes the computer voice came back on and said something like 'I'm sorry I couldn't connect your call, I'll try back later.' That is not what I wanted to hear, but hopefully if I stop answering calls from this number, they'll stop calling.

The reason they don't leave a voicemail is legally speaking if they don't leave a message they can call you as many times a day they want, if they leave a message they are not allowed to call back, it's an annoying tactic but it's legal. I have started to get calls from this company also, however I don't know why, I don't have anything that has gone to collections for a few years.

They call me at least 6 times a day and it has been happening for the last month.  I had a medical bill that kept getting sent to my parents house. My parents started throwing away my mail that I didn't forward a few years ago. I simply called the hospital and set up automatic payments directly through them.  I keep getting calls, I never pick up but finally got annoyed enough to block them.
Started getting calls from a second number a few weeks later, blocked that and not I don't hear from them anymore.

It's a call from a place called I.C. Systems. I called them back after they had called me a minute ago. I get calls from them at least 6 times a day and I never answer. I.C. Systems is a collection agency. This doesn't surprise me at all because I have quite a few bills I can't pay and it seems everyone is after me for something these days.
