Im getting this phone number all the time and its in the middle of the night sometimes. Every time i try to answer they hang up. What should i do?

I get calls from this number and from other numbers that are coming from the Pioneer Press. I have asked them not to call me ever again several times, now I just hit the ignore button on my phone cause they won't listen to me.  I need to get on the DNC list, but I can see here that it doesn't even matter with these guys.  It's so terribly frustrating.  I even screamed in their ears once... they don't care!

okay it's 2011  these guys are still cold calling with a machince never leaves a message,  and many times noone is there when I answer

My Caller ID just says NEWS.  They keep calling and haven't left a message.  Plus, we are on the 'DO NOT CALL' list.  Can we just report them without having to answer the phone? I'm sick of them calling when we are busy, and not leaving a message on WHO they are, and WHY they are calling.

They called us, twice this morning, five minutes apart.  We have a new phone number that's supposedly unlisted, but they told me they called because they have us listed as moving into a new house; when I pointed out their mistake, he said because they were mistaken they'd offer us their Sunday paper at only $1.  I said no and hung up.  After reading here, it looks like a request to DNC won't work.  Our phone service apparently has the ability to block certain numbers from connecting when they call.  I tried adding them to that.

just called the pioneer press and asked to be taken off their telemarketing list.. she responds with "sure i'd be happy to do that, may i please have your phone number, name, address and contact information?" LOL! i "reluctanly" gave her my phone number, at which time i also told her this "this conversation is being recorded".. she suddenly became "tight lipped" and would NOT answer any of my questions.....

I don't get called as frequently but I made the mistake of answering once, and the lady at the other end wouldn't take no for an answer, instead she would swap my no for a yes. Very irritating and I was in the middle of work and wasn't in a position to start screaming at her. I put the number as a do not answer but I notice they call from several different phone numbers.

They keep call me and not leaving a message.  I do not answer call from number that I do not know. In one day they called me about 10 times. In a one hour span called me 5 times.

Contact the attonery general and the better business bueru.

they keep calling me.  It's the pioneer press.  they will not stop.  i have answered and told them to take me off their list.  they keep calling.  I don't know what to do any more.  This is so illegal.  I will NEVER EVER get the pioneer press or give them my phone number or any information because they obviously cannot be trusted.

They called my number asking for "Sharon" (I'm not Sharon). When I told them they have the wrong number they replied with, "we have the right number, just the wrong name" and ask for "60 seconds" of my time. No thanks, hang-up.

Called again yesterday and I told them to take my number of their list. They called again today. Now it's personal.

They called me 15 times in one day, no sh@t!  When they called the next day I was prepared, she said I'm Kim calling from the Pioneer Press and I'll only take a minute of your time, I cut her off right there and said "no, you called me 15 f@#k%$g times yesterday, so why don't you take my number off your God d@$n call list, I'm sick of this sh#t."  I haven't heard from them since.  If I do, I am ready again!

they called 7 times on my cell phone. While I was working?!

This number had "Pionerr" on the caller ID.... also calling several times a day. I put a block on it.

Call from St. Paul Pioneer Press, trying to sell a subscription to this liberal rag. I also have been on the do not call list. I think this is from an outfit working on commision

If you call back and a recording asks for contact info give the address and number of your state Senator or Congressman. If they start getting these calls at their offices, something will get done.

Yeah, just got one myself... I received 6 calls in a one-week period... so annoying... Thanks, Bill, for giving some help, and to everyone else for letting me know (through your entries) that I'm not alone on this...

I get the call/ no one is there routine 2-3 times a day.
Then I called the 651 222 1111 (Thanks Bill), asked to be removed and they said they would. Hope that works, cause the ding-dong-ditch of phone calls is getting old.

What do you mean by rouge?  I just got a call from them too and called back but then only got a msg which didn't even mention their company name.

Call the Pioneer Press at(651) 222-1111 and hit "0".  The girl there is taking complaints.  It is a rouge telemarking firm harrassing people all over the country.

I have several calls from this number on my cell.  I have tried to cqall back and one time got a machine.  I asked them to put me on their do not call list and I am already on the DNC list. They called twice again today. I am v3ery frustrated!

My Caller ID says Pioneer, which I assume is the St. Paul Pioneer Press. I am on the DNC list as well. These dorks keep leaving free newspapers from time to time, which is also annoying. If you subscribe to Twincities.com, they can claim a business relationship. I unsubscribed a year ago and kept getting e-mails until I blocked them at Comcast webmail.
