Got a message from them saying, "THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 626-377-9373

just got the same message about 2 1/2 hours ago myself, I called and it said to put in your card number,

The callback number (626-377-9373) given on my text traced to a number in El Monte, CA (a very shite neighborhood where a great number of organized crime groups and gangs operate from).  Of course, that is just the location of the cell company that provided the number, so it could be anywhere in or out of the area, but it is a start.

They simple called themselves The Credit Union.

Rec'd a call from this number stating: THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 321-422-4873.

BOISE F.C.U. ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 208-629-0376.  I just received this text and it is obviously a scam to get credit/debit card numbers.  I don't have an account at Boise F.C.U. and as far as I know, there is no credit union by that name in Idaho.  I called the number to find out who was behind the scam and it was a female voice on the recording asking me to enter my 16 digit account number.  I tried to get to an operator by pressing 0# and also just the # key.  Both times was told the account number was invalid and asked me to re-enter the account #.  I typed in 1234-5678-9012-3456 and the call was immediately ended.  I called back and entered 1122-3344-5566-7788 and the same thing happened.  That's when I knew for sure that whoever this is just wants to get peoples account numbers.  I hope nobody actually enters their real account #.

I also called the number that the text came from a couple of times and I kept getting the message that my call could not be completed as dialed.  I will definitly be calling the police dept. in the morning.

General Mills Federal Credit Union did not deliver these text messages and it is unknown why the credit union's name was used or how the numbers were aquired. It is likely a scam to try to collect card numbers and personal information. We recommend you ignore and delete the text. Thanks!

I received a message:

"Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 715-203-4799. I have no clue who this is and I don't plan on calling the number back."

On the receiving end of a scam this time.  Someone from this number sent messages to a bunch of people telling them their credit cards were suspended.  Apparently, the message also said that they should call my Home Phone (completely random, as I live in the Southwest) and have gotten NUMEROUS calls asking why Country Financial has cancelled their credit cards.

I have no clue why I got this text message because I have no card that would have been deactivated.  How the heck did they get my number such bs if you ask me.

Foreign-accent female on the voicemail at that number, asking for card number.
Didn't have a card number to give ,and never heard of Midland C.U.
Wish I hadn't even called the number.

Just got the identical message.  I have no accounts with such a credit union.  Clearly a scam to try to get identification information.

Just got a text message from them saying

"SIERRA POINT C.U. ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 650-204-9984."

I don't have an account with this credit union.

Yeah, I just got the same exact text.  No plans on following up on it that's for sure!

Ya I just got a text I have no idea what it is about but don't plan on call or texting them back.

I received a text from this number, stating it was a General Mills Federal Credit Union Alert.  The message stated my card has been deactivated and to call 612-685-8001.  I have never done business nor have I ever even heard of this credit union.

Members and Non-Members recieved text messages from this number indicating their cards were deactiviated and another number was provided to contact for reactivation
