Caller ID says Transcon- sell securities

I have gotted calls from this number for the past 2 weeks. Just now it rang a few times, very strangely though, and I looked and I had 3 missed calls all the same minute...wierd.

You cannot do a thing about this.  The law and the Do Not Call Registration are one of the biggest jokes of legislation ever perpetrated on Americans.  There are enough exceptions to drive a truck through. And there is no prosecution for any of these junk calls.  If it were Sears or General Motors, yeah, then you could probably get it to stop.  But these back room boiler plants for junk and scam calls are immune from any enforcement, as no authorities ever do anything about it.

And even if none of the "exceptions" apply, there are still these robo calls that come every day from all sorts of area codes with no way to call it back.  The only thing that works is to ignore the calls you do not recognize on your caller ID, and just disconnect them without saying a word.  I don't even let them go to the answering machine.  Just pick up the call and hang it back up in a 10th of a second.

I tell people calling from this number to not call again and they do.  How can I make this stop?

651-689-1205 is the number.

I have been receiving an incoming call (651-689-1205) to my downtown Minneapolis office every morning at about 9am for a week now.  No message - I just called it back 'not in service'.

651-689-1205 is a constant caller. A return call lists the number as no longer in service.

I agree! I live in the Twin Cities and work in St. Paul, MN Minneapolis and STP are 2 different cities, by no means suburbs. And yes, we are freezing!

St. Paul is the capitol of Minnesota; they'd be peeved to hear they were a "suburb" of Minneapolis. I find that funny. They're like Dallas/Fort Worth.

Yeah, i get this number couple times a week too. It's a robo call, asking for me, and if I am that person to press 1, i did, and it told me to wait....i didn't wait and hung up. When I called this number it said that it is disconnected. Weird.

I never pick up mystery calls, but I was expecting a specific call at that time and I picked up without looking at my caller ID. I received an automated robo call, stating that they have a "very important message" for a specific person who does not live here, but was a previous resident at this address, prior to my moving in. (We have nothing to do with each other, I just know they lived here based upon junk mail I receive.)

The robo call stated that if you are this person to press 1, of you are not this person press 2 (I think). When I pressed 2, I was informed that I was being transferred. I hung up the phone. I have now received a call this afternoon from this same phone number, but I wasn't home. didn't leave a message. Out of curiosity, I called 651.689.1205 and was informed that phone the number, it is "out of service".

Rude sales guy called a K-12 school district. Unprofessional. Hung up when told we were not interested during mid sentence.

Rcvd a call from this # on 06/25/08 to a school district, wanting to sell tech equipment. Very unprofessional and rude. When told we were not interested, he hung up the phone in my mid-sentence.

651 is St. Paul, MN (a Minneapolis suburb).  I get a couple of these a week, sometimes two in a row, about 30 minutes apart, around mid-morning.  I'm never home then, but it's on my caller ID as "Transcom."  I tried to call it back, but got an "out of service" message.  Obviously someone spoofing a discontinued number.

When my friend in Coram, NY calls me from his Optimum phone line, that is home phone service from Optimum Online cable service, it comes up with Transcom and this number.  I have a feeling it's a VoIP call terminating at a local number, that's why it shows a 651 area code.

I have come to the conclusion that this is a phone from a jail but i am not sure which one, I keep getting calls from here and finally got a partial message and it was a collect call and since it's a local number to me that can only mean one thing, a jail call.

I get calls from this number enough that the number now seems familiar to me but I have no idea who it is.  When I have answered there is no one there and they never leave a message.
