Getting scam messages from 655 315 0415, representing them in my text message as BankOfMontreal (spelled incorrectly.)

It came from BMO Message Alerts

"Your MaterCard was restricted, to remove restrictions please visit http://u.to/B3xeBg, Thank you"

Note the spelling of Mastercard, but without the "S".

I don't have a Mastercard, and am not a member of this bank. That link is a link to a phishing site. I've reported it to my phone carrier Koodo, and blocked this number on my Iphone.

If anyone gets this number, (it won't show up like a number, rather, just a header, you'll have to call your cell providers tech support to get this number), report it so they can put out alerts to their fraud departments.

I have got 8 text messages in a row from this number.

This is happening to me now!! Out of nowhere? Get blank text usually 2 in a row.

I got the same thing happening to me I am going o freakin lose it on telus.

i just got two blank text messages from that number. the area code doesnt even exist.

I get 2 texts in an hour every 2 days from this number. All it shows is a bunch characters. ie;

If you're on Telus, this is their way of telling you someone sent you a photo and your cellphone can't receive it so you have to go online to view it.

I received a messge displaying " {È\ 13cK£K{q{³s!s»skkkk+;(|$oý¤<dÂ
bsBÀl@,¨HÄY¹Á¹ÉÉ©z¢Ê)êbjp²sy«S+ 4Tp¤C££Ñx". This has happened 4 times in 3 days. Its a bit freaky.

Keep getting this message with no text inside . how to get rid of it . Make it stop

how come telus doesnt know about this? i called and they had no record of me even receiving the text messages. they dont know the number, and they also told me there is no way of blocking a phone number. i went to that webpage.. telusmobility.com/snap  and there was a photo for me and plus in preferences you can actually block numbers.

is telus hopeless?

I got blank messages too. I think it has to do with someone sending me a picture message, but this phone is a basic work phone. Wish I knew how to stop them, or why Telus hasn't figured this out yet.

This is the bizarre way telus tells you a picture is available for veiwing at telusmobility.com/snap because you can't veiw the picture on your phone.  You can get the phone number it is sent from by going here for telus customers. you can't respond to the text because its a dummy.  You HAVE TO STOP YOUR FRIENDS FROM SENDING YOU PICTURES TO HAVE THIS STOP or get a pixture veiwer for your phone.

If you get this that means someone tried sending you a mms that you cannot recieve, goto telusmobility.com/snap and sign in to view pic or vid. They only stay on there for a short time.

i just received 20 texts from this number in the past 5 minutes. Telus phone and its really annoying.
What can we do to stop it

so how can you let the person know you didn't / can't get the photo???

Received a couple of those blank texts with the number 16553150415 and googled it.  Which brought me here.  Read a few of the comments and tried to have someone send me a picture and guess what, that's where the texts are from.  Try it, have someone else send you a picture and you will see.  Hope this solves the mystery.

ive never revieved a call from that number, just texts. blank texts. im usuing a base-line motorola Q with telus. it doesnt make much sense that it would be telus calling, they would definatly know how to send a proper message so that if it is infact being sent because you are unable to send or recieve a picture message, then the message would say so. sometimes i get it once, sometimes 4 times in a row. when i first activated the phone i got them almost daily, now its only once or twice a week. ive had my phone since mid june 2008. i dont believe that its telus. it gotta be something else.

I replied back "Stop All", and today i received 8 text messages

Your phones dont recieve pictures and this is a standard number that will come through to let you know a picture was sent to you.

Yes Telus mobility here. Do you think this may be part of the problem?
