They call and no one is there when you answer. Very annoying. Not answering does not cause
them to stop. This type of thing needs to be stopped.

Thanks to all of you ... I just got a call from this number and blocked it.  Problem solved - I'll never hear from them again!

Not a number you need to answer, they just want your money, best way to beat these people is try saying to put me on the do not call list however some people no longer care about that and will continue to call, don't know how or when that started being ignored but it still works with decent companies. There are those other kind of companies who could care less if you say that, they will keep calling, must get paid by number of completed calls now instead of number of people they scam, no idea how that works but I hate these calls!

I recieved 3 Calls today from 657-202-9007 I just let my answering machine take it but no message was left. I have gotten calls from this number many times before and it is really madding I have a non Published number but they still seem to get it.

What does everyone make of THIS... they called me at 12:04 pm. Aug. 5th. After the lady announced who she was and asking if they could "depend on my contribution" I told them I was with a client out in the field and she QUICKLY apologized saying she had the number listed as a residence, which is was not, it's a business land line that I foreward to my cell phone during the day when I am working... After her apology, she ended the call REALLY fast! I didn't even have a chance to say bye!!! (and i'm not going to loose any sleep over it either) lol

Please make them stop I am pretty busy.  In the military and really don't have time in my life for stupid. when i'm at home.

Don't bother reporting them to DNC as I have done that, not on this number but others, and DNC says the numbers are stolen and they can't trace them. The numbers I have reported are security systems out of Washington State.
Getting another one lately that I don't answer and when I call it I get an operator (machine) saying that number is no longer available. Best thing is to put them on your block list with your telephone company.

Report it to who? The police? The FBI? DNC list people? Chances are they're not even Americans, there's nothing you can do about it.

This number called yesterday and again today. So I blocked the number.

Have been getting umpteen phone calls the past few days from this nr. Am on the Do Not Call list.  I don't answer and no one leaves a msg.

Thanks to all the posts concerning this number.  I have experienced the same...number comes up with a period or a picture of the phone receiver...if I answer, I hear no response...if I don't, they leave no message...I agree that we should just ignore...this doesn't seem legit.

This is a scam company out to get you money using the Veterans as a front. Do  not answer the call as it is a robo machine calling random numbers. If you pick up, it then rcords that there is a live body there and will begin calling back with a scam artist trying to get your card information and donation.
And if you think our government is here to protect the citizen, then you aren't alive to fog a mirror. Just remember, you phone records and emails are not being read either..... go ahead and bury your head a little deep in that sand!

got a call today , The guy I was talking to didn't want to  answer any of my questions about where the money goes how  much  of it goes  to veterans ,said he didn't known.

I received a call from American Homeless Vets, evidently a subsidiary of Circle of Friends for American Veterans.  The solicitor provided me the following web site address:  www.vetsvision.org.  I followed up by going to the site, and found that the foundation provides only 12% of its annual revenues to programs for vets.  (This information based on a Charitable Organizations report by the Sec. of State of Washington.)  The Charity Navigator website has not provided additional information of this foundation.  For those donating, I personally never give to charitable foundations that have this high overhead for administration and collection/

No one seems to have heard of this entity, but this exact name was being used in Florida for a few months in late 2011 with the numbers 352-289-3063 and 352-533-3410. The current phone number shown on these calls is, indeed, in Anaheim, CA, but it may well have been spoofed on the Caller ID and the calls actually came from Montana, Manitoba, or one of many other places.. The single period is simply an anonymous way of avoiding their calls being intercepted for no name in the Caller ID (my Panasonic cordless phone set has call blocking and does indeed block calls with no name in the CID).

Of course, this is a scam without doubts - an unknown name not given until they have their target (you) live on the phone line, attempting to rip you off for even very small donations and presenting a Caller ID with their calls that is nothing except trying to keep themselves anonymous. You may be certain that these creeps are NOT going to provide any help to needy veterans or, for that matter, to anyone other than themselves. The blank below for call type should permit the use of the word "thief."

8:30 pm on a Sunday.  Nobody on the other end.  Just silence.

Rec'd call from this # @ 8:19 PM EDT.  The caller ID said "." and this number:  657-202-9006.  I did not recognize the area code and do not answer calls of this type.  Researching online, I see it is a telemarketing call for homeless veterans, in California.  Why they would call all the way to FL, plus use a telemarketing firm which charges a large percentage of the money taken in is beyond me.  I am sick & TIRED of all these telemarketing calls.  We need some kind of filtering system so we do not have to get up & answer all these dumb calls all day long.  I only give to charities known personally to me and are local.
