In June of this year I received a call from this number claiming to be "Johnson and Associates" wanting to inform me of my upcoming court hearing. They claimed they had tried to serve me papers numerous times in order to collect on a debt. They had an old address of mine, and the debt was a legitimate debt but very old. They threatened to even have me jailed. I set up an arrangement for a payment to be made in a few weeks, and the guy (Scott Ledger) told me he would send me out paperwork. Two days before the payment was due to come out of my account I had not yet received any paperwork, so I called them and told him that I would not make any payments until I had received some sort of paperwork. The person answering the phone this time happened to say "ABA" instead of Johnson and Associates. He told me that the postal service couldnt be held liable for my debt and that they would have me thrown in jail if I didnt follow through with the scheduled payment. I told him that he had better get the paperwork to me before the scheduled date or there would be no payment. He told me he would email me the paperwork and resend it through the mail. When I received the email, I became even more suspicious because I could have created a more professional document. At this point I decided to do some investigating. After calling several times at through out the day none of their information was consistant, not even their addresses. Which, on google maps appears to be an apartment complex or something along those lines. I looked them up on the better business bureau's website and couldnt find anything at all, but upon looking up the other associated business names I found that "AMC Group" was very poorly rated and unable to be contacted by the BBA. At this point, I figured this was most likely a scam. I then called this company back and told them I had done some research and felt that this was a scam. He told me that he was assuming I had gotten online and read some bad reviews from some people who had upaid debts that were prosecuted by them. I told him that there were no reviews where anyone had actually been prosecuted, and that at this point he would have to have the sheriff serve me the papers in order for me to know this debt was legitimate. He then told me that they would infact do that and that they would also prosecute me to the full extent of the law. That was 3 months ago, and there has been no sheriff, no calls, and not even paperwork. THIS IS A SCAM!!! Oh and they also use the phone number 562-363-6466

Got a phone call from this number said that they have a legal claim against me. They said they were going to have the constable serve me with a court document. When I asked wha this was about they told me to call this number. Said that they would hold off the constable from serving me until after I had spoken to people of the phone number they gave me. When  I called they said they had a credit card company that wanted to collect thier money and were taking me to court.
