Called and let my call intercepter pick it up - no message - automated call.

We need to have the our legislative officials stop this nonsense from happening - there are no such numbers with "000" in them. If we tell our government officials this is a Homeland Security threat maybe they will act on this! These people are spoofing caller IDs and there is no law stopping them!

I have 2 lines at home, this number rang both simultaneously - always a great indication of automated marketing calling system. Back home in the UK it is illegal for this to be done, I wish it was easier to make official complaints about this to FCC>

Called, left no message on ans. machine.  Yet another call allowed by the Do Not Call registry. It is incomprehensible that spoofed numbers , numbers programmed to circumvent the law, are legal.  Sadly, postings here are informational but seem to have no direct effect on the FCC.

"This is Rachel from Cardholder Services International. There is nothing wrong with your credit .press any key to confirm your eligibility for lower rates"

This guy wasn't even trying hard! When I asked who he was he said  " I am the credit card rate reducer."
When I asked what company he hung up

Called with a message. Said I should have already received a notification that my rates were going up. Press 9 if I wanted to avoid the rate increase. Should have linked through but was too busy googling the number. I live in Colorado. I have fantastic credit. This is a scam.

Number could not be reached on call back. Why would they call from a number that can't be reached on call back? How is this legal?

Received call 3:36pm, 5/27/10, recorded message saying that they are from "credit card services", tells you to press 9 to lower your interest rates on our existing credit card rates, and that we should have already received a letter in the mail from my credit card company.  I pressed 9 and a lady picked up the phone and asked me if I was calling to lower my rate.  I asked her what her company name was, she told me she represents visa/mc/discover/and american express.  I asked her again particularly which of my cc companies she was calling from and she said verbatim "I think people in Denver are stupid" and hung up.  This coming from a telemarketer, what a lowlife profession.

Got a call on 5/27/10, the representative provided misleading information such as they represent Visa/Master/Discovery. When I confronted and asked their company name, the representative instead, started asking my info. After I asked for their company name the third time, the representative just hang up. This is terrible!! Is there anyway to stop this scam??

Caller ID showed "unknown". I did not answer since I did not recognize the number and see no need to answer an obviously bogus number (the "000" portion is a good clue). I did read on another reporting list that someone responded with "my cards get paid off each month" and still kept getting calls. On the next call, this same person said the scammers were told "I just filed for bankruptcy"...I might just try that if I accidentally answer.

Lady called and explained it was Swan Financial  and that she was insisting that I could save interest on my current credit cards up to $1500 or more. She wanted to know my last 4 digits of my s.s. and then transfered me to a male named Ricky and he explained to me that he would consolidate my 2 credit cards while being on the phone and said that my credit was pending and he wanted my mom's maiden name and first 5 digits of my s.s. Obviously they both didn't tell me much. IT'S A SCAM. I will be reporting it to the authorites and credit bureau.

This number needs to be reported to the Federal Communications Commission for soliciting customers concerning credit card information.  It is an apparent scam and the individuals need to be investigated and proscecuted.
