This person called and stated something about a lawsuit against me. I asked what company is this for and he said American Cash. I told him he has the wrong person. He said he will call me back later on my other number. I made loan apps online but didn't accept the offer. That gives me no right to have suit.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

this guy called my job saying that i owe $8484.87 and i will be arrested on monday.

This number has called me many times at work and on my cell, they are rude as hell! When I stated that sure I will pay you to try to get more information the lady said "never call  here... can't you understand English?" I understand English just fine they just cant speak it very well. I asked them to send me information via email with documents and the documents that were sent looked like a 10 year old created them. No doubt a scam, how do people get away with this s**t?

I got a call from this Missouri (660-677-4736) number yesterday and today. This man had a thick accent. I could not tell if he was saying Adam or Alvin Smith very rude. I have never received a called like this in my life!!! I asked who he was and how I could owe money. He would not give me any information as to why he was calling. I was told that I should have cancelled my commitment with the loan agency. I am disabled and would have never been in trouble with the law so why would I be arrested. I called my local police department and learned this was a scam!! All I have to say is I hope this person is caught soon as possible!!! All I thought about is how he wished me good luck...Well good luck in jail when they finally catch up to you harassing people!!!!

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

These people call my job every day stating that I applied for a loan and that money was deposited in my account. They tell me that there has been a warrant issued for my arrest. This is becoming very annoying. I never applied for any loan  nor was any money deposited in my account. The name of the person today was John Marshall

They called a company that I'm a contractor for over the weekend leaving a threatening voice mail that I need an attorney.  I called them back and was told all of the same things, that I'll be arrested at my place of employment or my home if I don't come up with $486 right then and there.  If not, when I do go to jail and see the judge, the amount will be increased to $46,000.  I asked what this was pertaining to he said a loan that was deposited to my account and I have not paid the "fees" associated with the payday loan.  The company that I took the loan from was supposedly American Cash and they are the ones to have hired his "law firm" of Russell Harper out of Missouri.  I told him I need to verify with my bank and my attorney.  He told me I have 30 minutes to call him back or he's dispatching the police to my address first thing in the morning.  I'm so glad I googled this!

I just received a call from this number as well just told them they had the wrong number and to stop calling my phone. Then when I looked at my phone I noticed I had a voicemail stating all of what you al are saying. this is for a sure a scam

This guy just called my place of employment and gave one name an said a different name when I called the second time, he stated that I got a loan that I never paid back and that it was up to $8000 that I owed an that if i didnt pay it back someone would pick me up on Monday WHAT A JERK

They have called me multiple times and when I told them to kiss my a** I was called a stupid lady..can we say scam!!!

I just got a call from this phone number a few minutes ago stating his name is: Justin Borders. He had a strong accent and you can hear background noise as if he was in a call center environment. He asked if I had an attorney. I told him no and asked what this is regarding. He states there's a warrant out for my arrest and if my attorney doesn't contact them then police will dispatch to my work and / or my home tomorrow at 10:00 am to arrest me. He did not state what crime I've committed or what the charge is for...I told him not to call my work number again as I cannot take personal calls. He wished me luck. .... I'm relieved I'm not the only one receiving this strange call as I know I did nothing wrong. I hope this is a scam!

I believe it's a scam I got the same call today-too.  And when I told him I have a lawyer he hung up on me.  I called back saying this is my work number and don't call it again he hung up

I receieved a call from some guy sayinh he was going to file charges for a loan that iI never asked for so I said do what ever

Some guy named Alex, very clearly from India, called my cell phone and my work number. He stated that there are criminal charges against me and my social security number and that it was imperative that I call him back.  He said if I or my attorney of record disregarded his call that he could do nothing more except wish me luck.

I received called from a guy named to b Kevin  saying I have a law suit against me and I would be arrested from my street address or work place within 48 hours if I don't come up with $9000.

Got a phone call saying I need to get a lawyer becouse I have criminal charges and when I said for what and in mousouri its a scam why do people do this kinda stuff can't they be stilted Harrisonburg people all day at work its crazy what people do to have money now a days

There's nothing to report, you stole nothing if you didn't take a loan,lol! Its probably a extortion scam call and these scammers in other country's understand nothing about our laws or how they work. Real legal servers do not call you either, they just show up and hand you the papers.

this number called me today 660-677-4736 telling me criminal charges were being pressed for a loan that was deposited into my account which never was he said the amount of 766$ then when i told him it was never deposited he talked to his supervisor ya right...but anyhow it lead to him tellling me it was over a 250 application fee for a loan i never recieved..or i could pay the cancellation fee to clear it up but at first he tells me ive already been turned over to an agency but it was all b***s***t and i caught the dude up in his own mess he didnt even have his story straight when i told him i had already been to prison and had a highly paid well respected lawyer a phone call away anytime and i would sue them he was speechless what he said didnt make any sense i told him he was basically trying to scam me then he said well what should we do about this then..lol..i told the dude to get a f****n real job and quit scamming people by trying to scare them into thinking theryre f****d just to get there money...f****n arabbs

This place has been harrassung me plenty times now. Each time they say I have a case and I ask what it is they can't tell me they just say I need a lawyer.and that I am being reported for stolen because I didn't accept a loan from this place they said . Not sure what this is about but I don't appreciatie it!

Our company received a call from (660677-4736 about an employee.  Will not let us talk to the individual who originally called (John Smith)..  

I was called at work and on my cell phone...harrassed....this must be a scam....

My husband got a call from this # sayin he owes for a loan he never took out they scammed him outta $$ but thank god he was able to stop it with green dot and get our $$ back.
