I got a call from this number and it is the Boonville Correctional Center number Of the caseworker

This is a Jeff City number. My family lives in the area code of this number, they have suddenly started calling several times a day and no one leaves a message. It's coming from a land line as well. SO whom ever it is needs to lose my damn number.

the Truman State University is a probable.  I completed a degree there.

Take me off of your list, whoever interferes with our evenings from what appears to be Truman State University.  If you are collecting money from the alumni,this is not the way to do it.   I will not be donating this year because of this persistent annoyance.

I noticed a missed call on my cell from 8:09PM on March 1, 2012. Caller ID only shows the phone number. No voicemail was left. I highly doubt it's Tel Alumni. This is the first time I have received a call from a Kirksville number since I graduated nearly 7 years ago. Also, according to FCC.gov (where you can add your number to the Do Not Call registry) "telemarketers are required to transmit caller ID information and may not block their numbers." If you can't return a call to the number, that means it's blocked. So either Tel Alumni is breaking the law, or the call is from someone else.

If you're concerned or simply don't want to be bothered, contact Truman and request that they put your number on their "opt out" list. If the calls continue after that, file a complaint at FCC.gov.

Looking for $170.00 donations, Truman State University. Changed their name 5 times since I graduated from the school. I told them, they need to aggressively as the State of Missouri for more funding.

The 660-785-2399 is a State of Missouri exchange number.  This number will come up on the caller ID but if you return a call to this number, it will ring and never connect.  No one should call and ask for personal information without leaving a call back number.  However, some calls from this number may be legitimate.  Just be leary when answering questions.  If you are concerned it is a hoax, get a call back number and a supervisors name.  Most state entities have websites that you can check out the number and name.  If you call during regular business hours you can speak to that person directly.  Unfortunately state entities cannot do anything about this.  If it gets to be a problem, contact the Office of Administration in Jefferson City, MO.

I had been getting calls from this # everyday for about a week and a half.  I didn't pick up b/c I figured it was them asking for money.  But today I got a text message from them "PLEASE CALL".  I talked to my friends (also TSU grads) and they got the phone calls but no text messages...I called right back, dead air.

The (660) 785 extension belongs exclusively to the Truman, so it's originating from within the campus.  An email or call to them may prove helpful.  My guess is Tel-Alumni, or something similar.

I too am a graduate of Truman. It was Northeast MO State back then. I've been receiving the same calls with the same results (no one answers or leave a message). I wish they would at least let us know what the calls are about. Not even the Alumni association can give come up with any thing.

yeah, same story here - i'm a truman alumnus, and i've gotten about half a dozen calls from this number over the past 2-3 months, usually on a sunday evening around 6pm.  i figured it had to be a truman campus number because of the 660 area code and 785 prefix, like all other numbers on campus.  most of the time i've missed the call and the caller left no message, but when i finally was able to answer one last week, it was dead air - again, like all the others.  i did recently update my info with the alumni association because i'd moved, and i got a letter saying they would be making calls, but it seems like calls would be more helpful if there was actually someone on the other end to take the call... then maybe they wouldn't have to keep calling back and not leaving messages, you know??  the timing is weird too... sunday evening.  things that make you go "hmmm..."

I just got a call from this number too.  I picked up the call but there was only dead air.  I called the number back and same story, no one answered.  If this number was legit there'd probably be a VM to pick up.  Although I graduated from Truman, I've never updated my cell phone number with the Alumni Office.  The only office that had my number was Student Accounts; they needed it for a call-back number when paying my Perkins Loan.  (But who knows, all my info all be merged).  Wierd!

Got a call from them today, didn't answer it.  Then I called it back later anonymously and there was no pickup, no answering machine, just a bunch of rings.  Oh well.

got the call -- did leave a message. It was the Mcnair program director calling me but left the callback number as X-5487

I have been having this same issue for the past couple of months.  Same story as everyone else....went to school there, get several per week, dead air when I answer and nothing when I call back.  I sent a nasty text back to the number...like that was going to do anything!  :-)  I plan to call the school and direct them to this website as a reference.  They will be informed that future contributions to the University depend upon their resolution of this issue...it has me that annoyed!

Got a call from the number but I have only applied and been accepted to Truman!

I also went to Truman (when it was NEMO); it is a computer generated call - so calling it back won't yield any results.

I suspect that it is related to fund-raising since I am on the no-call list and this is a charity call, so it goes through.

Revd. numerous calls from this number.  Answered once and there is no answer on the other end.  They call 3-5 times/week.  Very annoying because calls originate from Kirksville, MO where I went to college so I originally thought it was an old friend trying to get in touch.  Cannot find out who owns the number.

I recieved a call from this number tonight and no one was on the other line. I called back and no answer.

Obviously has something to do with Truman State, because I just got accepted there and I got a call from the same number.

I am a current student and have been here for 3 years and just recently started getting these calls like 4 or 5 times a week. I agree it must be a ploy to get us all together...Truman has outsmarted us once and for all, as if attending is not hard enough:)

Yep, it's Truman State's fundraising drive.  Once I read a couple of your posts, I realized who was calling me and not leaving a message.  Hey Truman State, or better yet, NMSU grads!!!  Hope you're doing well!  I'm in NE Tennessee and loving the mountains!

I received two calls in a row this morning, no voice mail. I am currently attending Truman but we have a day off today for student research presentations. How annoying, what ever it is, they need to get it figured out. Its obviously been a problem to a lot of people!

I got two calls from this number on a new cell that I have not given out the number to anyone.
Has to be a wrong number, but, twice?

Again, tonight, they called again, hung up when I answered!   I have no connections down there, don't know who it could be. Sent text messages asking "who are you?"
