Got a call on my cell phone from this number and when I called it back got a recording saying this number is no longer in service or is disconected

I got the call 660-827-6778 yesterday 2009November03 at 3;32pm. The name on my ID listed the person as [b]Arnett R[/b]. 827 is a number from the state of Maine usually...the 660, I've no idea.

Hey, it just happened to me. I heard a man say something, I kept saying hello because we were still connected, then silence.  This annoying and odd. Very strange that it's happened to so many people today.

same thing happened to me, didn't pick up, no voicemail.

Just happened here, too.  Was a live person on the VM message.  This was also left on a direct dial number to my office (major coorporation).  They are just randomly calling numbers it appears hoping someone picks up and falls for their "non profit to help reduce debt!"  She said she was calling me back, too...oh, ok then!

Got a call, started talking then disconnected.  Tried calling back, no longer in service.  Looks like trash eating up my cell minutes.

Same thing just happened to me -  on my cell phone.  "...it's me Steve (like he knew me), give me a call 1-800-321-8451. thanks.".  42 sec message.  The number he called from is 660-827-6778 and is listed in Sedalia, MO.

I just got a call from Steve from that number stating that he could lock me into a low interest rate and that I NEEDED to call back ASAP.  I just called the 800 number  back that he left on my voicemail which is 800-321-8451 and they answered "Debt Relief Center."  The number that showed up on my phone though was the 660-827-6778.  I think that they are dialing random cell phone numbers.

Man with a professional voice called about 4:35 and left a voicemail saying he NEEDED to talk to me to lock in the low interest rate he had spoken to me before about. Was actually about a minute long.

Same number just 'uh hello' and then nothing....

This just happened to me.. wtf!  Called and said "uh, hello" and then were silent, so I hung up. I tried to call back and it said the number was disconnected. Then i googled the number and apparently it's happened to more than one person.. what is the point.

Just got a missed call from this number; went to call back 30 seconds later, got a message saying number is disconnected; within 2 minutes after that, a voicemail popped up. Someone named Steve rambling about locking in credit rates on a credit card, started off saying, "Haley, it's me Steve." Um, yeah, hi, my name is not Haley and I have NO idea who Steve is. There is a callback number 1800-321-8451. Called back, got "Shawn", asked him to put me on the Do Not Call list. Will let you know if there are any more calls from this number from here on out.

I also received a call on my cell phone from this number and heard a male voice say "Hi". When I called the number back, I also heard a recording saying that this number is no longer in service or is disconnected.

got a call and I heard a mans voice before I could put the phone to my ear, but when I did just silence until the call disconnected.

Received a call at 9:42 AM Central on my mobile phone (Virgin/Helio). I don't believe that they left me a message. Online reverse phone number look up informed me that the number is unlisted landline number from Sedalia, MO.

I have no further information.
