I know we got all these emails but did anyone get any $$$$ from this guy?  did a legitimate postal money order get delivered?

The same thing happened to me.  A name;Alex Oborne had been trying to buy a computer from me from KSL.com in UT.  I've got some of the same emails (word for word).  I finally got USPS money orders in the mail.  Two for $950.  (less than half the ammount of the item).  We took them to the Post office and surprise, surprise, they are fake. Once the evelope was delivered I got a ton of emails with addresses to western union part of that money to someone else. Also got a call from someone who sounded like an older asian woman wanting to know about their payment. Right about this same time I got a friend request from this person on facebook.  Really?!  Lame.
This is the email they've been using:  I googled it and they had a blog with posts saying some of these same things word by word.  That has since been taken down.

Now he is  name;Alex Oborne wanting to buy my "musical Instrument" which I don't even have for sale!!

I received two money orders for $950.00 each for a wedding dress that i was selling for $500.00.  they look fake and i'm not falling for it.  I'm taking them to the post office today to have them validated.  If they're real I'll cash them, but i'm not holding my breath.  He can pick the dress up anytime he wants after that.

This guy is a loser.  I posted my hand crafted vases that I sell on ksl and he sent me the most untrusting email ever saying his agent would pick it up and he would send me a post office money order, but he never once talked about my vases.  It's almost like he will get anything without looking at it.  Funny thing is I am going to be a Police Officer and I know the person who is in charge of frauds with the FBI in the state of Utah and plan on taking this to her to see what we can do to catch this loser.  Get a job like everyone else!!! 661-310-5224:

Well his name is Richard now and wanted to scam me out of my Red Wing steel toed boots, and about a month before got the same email fromAlex Oborne , who wanted to purchase the same boots! They are listed

very similar to all of the posts..now lives in Rhode Island would send a post office check....but writes it like broken English...wow what a scammer

i too was selling a wedding dress...only he slipped up this time...my dress was worn as a mother of the bride and it's BLUE!  I kept writing him, are you sure your daughter wants this dress???? it's not white like "normal" brides....

I got this very same message! Alex Oborne is now using this phone number 661-310-5224 and this emailmrnaz001@yahoo.com beware!! He/She was really pushing to learn my address too which I wasn't giving out! Crazy and scary!

Ok, count me in Alex Oborne ..... buying a dress for his daughter... poor English... said he was moving to Rhode Island ...I sent a bill to him from my paypal... I hope that wasn't a mistake.... I'll monitor my paypal for some time to come now.  I was suspicious but it wasn't until his 3rd email at 2:00 popped in my junk mail, then I put 2+2 together.

Apparently you are an idiot or a spammer....the dog is not for sale, only his stud service is.  If you are just an idiot, get a clue and actually read the ad, if you are a spammer, pull your head out of your rear and stop wasting my time.

No I can't handle the funds for the shipper unless you provide it seperately in a money order made to the shipper. Sorry for the hassel but this feels fraudulent and/or a scam Alex Oborne .661-310-5224

In regards to this situation, I think the best thing for me to do is to send this item you have purchased to an address and send the extra money back to you in form of a cashiers check.  I work very close to a ups store and a post office so I will do it tomorrow on my lunch break.

I have sold a lot of items before and this has been the first time something like this has come up.  I dont understand why you couldnt wire the money yourself rather than having a stranger perform this errand.  I have a job and a family and honestly, I dont have the time to be doing this.

Please send me the address for shipping, the form of shipping ( same day, next day, standard shipping) and the way you want the name to appear on the check so we can conclude this transaction as soon as possible.  I dont feel comfortable having this extra money that is not mine.

I'm not sure why you have sent me these money orders.   As I said in a previous email this item has now been SOLD to someone else.   Please do not send me anymore cashiers checks or money orders as there is no item left to sell you

K Alex Oborne  I haven't been able to do anything about your checks, I haven't cashed them nor have a sent you money. that is because everything that you're doing are red flags for a scam. the address you gave me isn't valid in California or at least it isn't a shipping company. The cashiers checks look fake, they dont even have a water mark, you didn't give me any of your personal information like where you live nor will you use a convenient method such as paypal and i know that it makes no sense to buy a cheap dishwasher in Utah and have it shipped somewhere else in the nation.  if i were to cash those checks i would get the money, but it could take up to two weeks before I find out that the checks you sent me are false and the money would come out of my personal account whereas the money i send you would go through because it is linked to my account.  if you are an honest person then you should be more than willing to be patient. if you're not i suggest you stop stealing from people and find an honest profession.
