This person (it sounded like he said Grin Allen) called at 10:33pm! I didn't answer the phone since the number was not familiar to me. He left a voice mail message saying that my husband won 2 million dollars in a random drawing. His accent sounded maybe African, although I'm not certain. I figured it was a scam, so I didn't call back. Does anyone know if this is indeed a scam?

I was sound asleep and at 5:45 am, the phone rang and it was a man with an African accent. He stated that he had $2,000,000 to be deposited into my account today. I told him it was a scam and hung up on him. I reported his number to the do not call list.

I received the same phone call about winning a "prize"of $1,000,000.  I love toying with these people!!!  He said his name was James Carter, and he represented Global Collect Payout Services.  He gave me the whole schpiel about meeting with the IRS and the UPS, and the taxes were covered. I just needed to go to Western Union to pay a fee (we never got to the amount) to cover the cost of insurance to cover the package.  He gave me a package #, and told me to contact him once I was at Western Union to send the fee to a Camille Spence in St. Mary, Jamaica.  I told him that I needed to contact my lawyer and my brother, who is in law enforcement, then I would call him back.  They hung up on me!!  Go figure!  They called back again, and a different man said that I had won $2,000,000.  The money doubled!  They hung up on me again once I repeated that I needed to contact my attorney and brother before I sent any money.  Like I said, I love toying with these people!!!  I figure that I'll get another call in about 4 weeks with the whole "prize money" offer.

I received a call this morning at 6:15 AM from Glen Allen saying I had won $2 Million dollars from the Las Vegas International Company.  He was located in Bakersfield, at this number, having "flown" in there last night and was calling so early to get organized for the day so that he could organize the news and State Marshal to be at my house at 10:30 to present me with the money.  The only thing I had to do was before 10:30 go to a Western Union and get the 1% "tax" (which he said was $2,500 - of course 1% of 2 million is $20K) and that the tax would need to be made out to Camille Spence. I asked a ton of questions and he had the same canned answers repeated over and over.  I asked who Camille was and who was she going to pay the tax to?  Turns out it's more like a fee, go figure, and I suggested they deduct that amount from the amount they're giving me...no chance.  If this isn't a scam then they need to do a better job giving it away. The bad math alone should disqualify him. He did have an African accent, seemed to be calling from a cell phone considering the traffic and wind, and couldn't supply me with information that would have authenticated this amazing gift he has for me.
