I recieved a phone call tonight from this number and like freaked out. the guy told me that Cash net usa was going to sue me for an unpaid payday advance loan that i never took out. I kept questioning him and asked for the date and waht not at first it took over 5 minutes to just get the cash net usa out of his stupid mouth. then he wouldnt give me anymore data/ info about anything.

My husband got a call at work and at home for charges against him to appear in an la California court case from cash.net usa. For a loan.cash.net usa does not deal with pa. Residents. The phone call was very scary! Any advice what to do?

Rcvd 3 calls from this same number, name today was Joe Mays, Friday it was Steven Jones, threatening me with 3 federal charges for not paying a payday loan to Cash Payment USA for the amt of $300.  He told me I had until 5pm today to pay the total charges of $595 or he was going to file the court papers with the LA county Court in CA.  When I asked him when this $$ was transferred into my acct, he refused to give me a date.  He told me to get my atty to call him back and he would give it to them.  So I had a friend of mine who is the Sheriff of my county, called him back and he stated the same facts to him about the charges.  My friend, the Sheriff, gave him his fax # to send the papers to him to review, before paying the debt.  HE FAXED the papers. He notified the FBI and SBI with this fraudulent information, with contact info and all.  He is fraudulently using the name of a retired atty Bill Hopkins Law Firm.  He will be picked up and charged with numerous charges.  The Palmdale County Sheriff Office has been notified and he will get his.  His office he is working out of is 2 blocks from the Sheriff's office in Palmdale, CA.  People, never send money to anyone that threatens you with going to jail.  In 48 states, payday loans are not legal loans and are not chargeable offenses if you don't pay them back.  It is not check fraud either.  They are simply preying on people that are struggling in these hard times.  Get as much info as you can to catch them.  If they think you are going to send them money,, they will give you everything you need to hang them.  Get a return #, name of company to wire the money to, street address and person to contact.  Then give all this info to the FBI at IC3.gov .

Just got a call from them Friday morning - his name is now Joe Macias...  The all came in at 0921 my time East coast which is 0621 west coast time - I highly doubt a law office is open in CA at 6am.  But for a moment it scared the shi.. out of me. I checked with my local police (several of my friends work for the local Sheriff's office) and nothing is on record.

I dialed the # back and it hangs up with out even ringing.

I got a call at my work phone today saying he was steven jones from the william hopikins law office. He said i have charges against me and i need to go the police station to pick up the papers by next thrusday. i wen to the police station and there was nothing in my name there. this is a big scam. Just hung up and file a report with fcc or ic3.gov. donot give them any money.

I got about three calls today from some guy saying he was filing charges against me in LA county. He told me I would lose my job and all that stuff. I asked if i could settel out of court he said i would have  to pay $900 and something. I hung up and he called back two times. I work for the US GOV and he called me at work. I now have our LE working on it. I aslo filed a compaint with the ic3.gov and fcc.

I have now gotten 2 messages, on my wife's phone, stating I need to appear in court in CA on Monday & that the paperwork has been sent to our local police dept, also stating the address.  Thanks for all your help with the comments, make me less worried....this needs to stop!  I contacted someone at our county seat to see what can be done...

They called me a couple of time, when I did pick up they said they were recording I said good so was I. Needless to say they hung up on me. Have heard a word since. Lol

Got a call yeserday from this number the name was Brian Jordan. Threatened me with 3 different charges of fraud, and deceat, the Company Cash Payment USA was going to prosecute me. They would send case file to local PD on Dec.6,
and the police will pick me up next week. Told them I wanted proof of this debt and legal proceedings and they told me they would only give this to my attorney. I insisted on proof of this and they finally hung up. They make you believe this is real, but a little to demanding....

Why would he advise you to file a complaint on Internet crime if it was a phone call?  I got the same call and I want to report these scammers!  I just want to make sure I do it correctly.

Just got the same kind of message from this number threatening court proceedings and even quoting the address of our local police department, and that i had to show up by 11/27 at 11:30.

I also have received 2 messages from Steven Jones, telling me criminal charges had been filed in CA in LA county.  Same calls as above. Local PD had no paperwork with my name. A friend is an ex police officer. He told me to call the FBI with info.  So I did since this guy had me scared to death, threatening imprisonment, among other things. The FBI said this was a big scam and these people will say anything to scare you into calling them. When you call them they'll tell you if you send them money the charges will be dropped. The FBI gave me a web address and told me to go to this address and file a formal complaint. So I did. The address is ic3.gov. Everybody needs to do this even if you received phone calls.  These people are Evil!!!!

Received a message from a man who said his name was Steven Jones, with a very strong accent. He said he was from a law firm but couldn't understand the name.  Stating criminal charges had been filed against me in CA in LA county, and all paper work had been forwarded to my local PD. He continued to tell me to call him back with my lawyer info or suffer the consequents.  It scared the hell out of me!  Called my local PD who had no paperwork with my name.  I received another message the next day, from the same guy.  Now he was threatening that I could be arrested at home or my job and spend 30 days in jail, have my SSN black listed, lose my job, and have an $8000.00 fine! He told me to call him with lawyer info. Well, a friend of mine who is an ex police officer, told me to call the FBI with his info.  So I did.  The FBI told me this is a big scam and they'll say anything to scare the hell out of you so you will call them.  When you call them they will tell you to send them so much money and the criminal charges will be dropped!!  EVIL PEOPLE!!!!  The FBI gave me a website to go to to file a formal complaint, and I did.  The website is ic3.gov. Please everybody do this to try to stop these evil people!!!!!

Called me and tried to tell me they were from the FTC and that I owed them and they were going to send paperwork to the local police. I gave them my attorney's name..guess what? Haven't heard a word from them since nor has my attorney.  

Ignore the message.

If you really want to irritate them call back requesting documentation of everything. They won't send it and in most cases they will tell you they can't send it to you or they don't have to. I've heard several different responses. One company almost had me convinced UNTIL they told me the date. Luckily I had just recently changed banks so I knew without a doubt I didn't owe the money. Which obviously lead to an argument and confirmed my suspicions of fraud. Real debt collectors try to work with you not bully and scare you.

I received a message that I could barely understand telling me they were filing in California court and they had sent papers to my local police department and I needed to go get the papers and have my lawyer call them so on and so forth. I checked w/my police department and they knew nothing. I couldn't even understand what law firm he was supposedly calling from.

They can't do any thing. It's a scam being run out of India. Ignore the calls.

I got a call from this people Name Steven Jones from Larry H Parker, yeah w/ foreigner accent, telling me I owed "cash advance USA" about $600 something. First I told the guy that I don't have cash advance, 2nd you don't sound like you from here. 3rd of send me the paper work. And the guy hang up on me. I called him back several times and never answer again. I made sure if this is true I called Larry H Parker in Palmdale, they never heard of this guy and the phone number.. So this is SCAM to get some money

Just received a call from the same number threating legal actions and that my local police department will be issuing a subpoena for me. I should call them back and give them a taste of their own medicine. lol

I am tired of these foreigners constantly calling from different numbers throughout the US and claiming to have american names despite their heavy accents. When will anyone catch up to these people?

I got a threatening message from this phone number today. Again, threatening legal action if they don't hear from me by 11:30am on 9/6/13. No thanks, I'll take my chances.
