Received call from this 661-532-4531 number on cell phoneat 4.45 pm on 7 Jan 2008. Didn't answer it as I didn't recognise the area code.

I received the nuber on Jan 21 at 4:47PM, answered it and said congratulations on winning something, and I said "what the hell is this?" then the guy said 'please press 1 to claim your prize" and it wasn't an ottomated voice so i hung up the phone.

Same as above, received a call but didn't answer. The sad thing is some people are going to fall for it.

Received call from this number on May 19 at 5:30 pm est. Didnt answer it and no message left

received a call from this same number and it's a hole bunch of scammers, They claim they are from a Law firm and i called again and they said that they were from a collection company, however, they won't give you any information when you ask.  They are SCAMMERS!

I recieved a call from this number threathen to take me to jail if I didn't pay for a bill.  He's reading a script, he says at the end, all we can say is wish you good luck and bye bye.

I just got the same call.  I filed a complaint with the FTC. Then called the company back using the number they called from and asked for the address: they gave me 11000 Wilshire Blvd Ste 1700. LA Cali.  I then googled the address and it is the FBI web address.  I called FBI and they said that I may want to put a fraud alert on my credit report and ignore the calls.

Received a call at 11:45am PST on Monday, December 15th, 2008, congratulating me that my number had been selected for winning a prize. I cut the phone at that point, realizing that it is more than likely a scam.

Just received a call from this number on my Rogers cellphone today. I answered it but when there was a delay as is normal with telemarketing calls, I hung up.

yeah i got a call from the same number but i didn't pick up its very annoying..

I seem to be getting more and more calls from california.

My number is completely personal, I don't even give it to my work.

The (661) 532-4531 called twice, first time hung up, but they called back right away. When I answered there was no responce. I was with Rogers, but now I'm with Fido.

I recived a call , about 5 min ago , a automated male voice told  said" congradualations your number has been selected and press 1 to claim the prize".... bunch of scammers out there that are going to get theres one day.

Got the same call on my Bell/Aliant cell this morning (I'm in Nova Scotia) - reverse check still shows "Big Butte" in California (near LA as another poster mentioned).  I never give my cell number out other than to friends and family (i.e. I don't use it to sign up for anything).

I am a Bell Aliant customer from Nova Scotia.
My phone identified the number as from coming from California.

I got a call from this number at 9:49PM (ADT) tonight, I have not received a voice mail from the number.

just got a call from this number on my rogers cell in novascotia, didnt reply since no one ever calls me from California, and they didnt leave a msg! first time ever in my 5 years that i have this phone to get a junk call (beside my bank and rogers itself)

I also got the call on my Telus cell phone.  No message... I didn't answer.

Some common threads seem to be Canada and ROGERS.  I am a Fido customer (owned by Rogers).  I have never received telemarketing calls on my CELLPHONE before  and only a handful of individuals know my personal number.  The pattern illustrated in the other posts seems to be too strong to indicate a random dialed call.

Just got a call from this number. Came up as california on the cell phone. Bell Canada customer.

I pressed 1 to try to find out who they were. Person on the other end says it is Marketing for Sunset Group out of Cancun, Mexico. When asked for a contact phone number, I was told that they do not have one. If anyone can track them down, post their phone number and we can all call them to clog up their phone lines.

This number called me just now -only there was no one on the other line.  This is ridiculous

Got the same call tonight, no message though, Telus is my provider, located in Ottawa.

oh man, i just had to call.  called them from skype talked for a bit, had some fun...what a joke.
