This call was from OXFAM.  Any easy way to make sure you are in their system (or out) is to call their toll free number which is on their website.  The people are always quite pleasant.  If you are a donor or a pledge partner, always make sure they can verify some unique info about you before continuing with any donations.  For those people that felt inconvenienced by their calls for months, just call their toll free number and take initiative to end the calls.  Posting that they are scammers isn't fair, as they are a positive force in this world, which is better than anyone that just complains.

caller asked for my wife, said he was from Oxfam. Pleasant individual, polite and immediately concluded the conversation when I told him she was out of state. They must be using a predictive dialer. I usually wait for at least 3 rings before answering; that's generally enough time for another call to supersede mine in the queue so all I get when I answer is air. That gives me enough time to hang up before another agent picks up the call.  In this case I answered immediately, I was expecting a call. The quick answer got the agent. But they're not evil, just undesirable.

Please stop calling my number - I will never donate to you - I donate to other groups that I cherish - nothing personal, but I have my own causes I like to donate to.

Two calls in two days. Annoying. I do support oxfam but these people must be parasites to the charity  and their contributors.  I am also on do not call lists.

I recieve this calls several times a day. I don' t understand how this benefits, and I want them to stop.

Hello.  I have no idea who you are but I am consistently receiving calls from you while I am teaching. Please stop!  This number is for emergencies only.    If you are an organization I have contributed to , please know I budget my life out and give only at the end of the year.  That is the best I can do right now.  Please stop calling my number, and leaving no indication of who you are.  It feels disrespectful and its disruptive.  Thank you.

You people need to settle down. If you do not want to receive calls from them anymore, instead of telling them to put you on the do not call registry, just go to their website, get their number, and call them to tell them you no longer wish to receive calls from them. You are trating them as if they are a typical telemarketer, but they are not. The reason they call is because YOU did something that got their attention, by either making a donation in the past, signing up to their newsletter, or becoming a member some other way. So chill out, they are a good organization who actually gives the money where its needed, unlike Susan G. Komen.

I received calls from them, but since it was a number i did not recognize, i did not answer it, and instead came on here to find out who it was. They called me cause i do a auto monthly payment to them, and my card had expired

OXFAM is a well-known and legit charity organization which I have donated to in the past. I will not donate to anyone who solicits by phone and they have called 5 times already. Who knows? Maybe they are just calling to thank me, but I doubt it. I resent having funds paid to telemarketers and may have to rethink my future donations to this worthy charity. However, if I receive one more call, they will be crossed off my list.

Spam calls twice three times a day as late as 9 PM FFS. I am so sick of this. I am now GUARANTEED not to give Oxfam ANY money. They are a great non-profit . . . but this really pissed me off. Even after telling them to leave me the f*** alone.

Well, after I posted the above message, the phone calls have stopped (fingers crossed).  There have been no more calls.  I will still be leaving Phone Warrior on my phone since they may feel the need to reconnect.

I am so sick of receiving calls from this number.  They were calling at least twice a day and still are except I added phone warrior to my phone so it doesn't ring through to me when they call which is still twice a day.  I have them blocked.

I had never donated to them and I don't understand where they got my number and why they keep calling.  Even when the number wasn't blocked they never left a message.

Take a hint Oxfam and just go away.

We have been getting calls from this number at least twice a day (it appears as Newhall, CA in our caller ID).  When I pick up the phone, which is not very often, I only get silence; no identification, no solicitation, nothing.  How do I stop these annoying calls?

I get one to two calls daily from this phone number which I don't answer but these calls are very annoying.  Whoever it is, even credible groups like Oxfam should stop unsolicited phone calls.  I do donate to Oxfam and many other "lefty groups" (if helping others is "lefty" then I am a lefty also. I never give out my cell number and don't like solicitations by phone.

Oxfam is a worthy charity, as worthy as most, and better than many.

They called saying they were Oxfam! They asked for me but called my husband's phone. I knew it was some type of scam.  Don't know how they got our cell number!

I've received a call from this number for 2 months, everyday. Leaves no message as to who they are and what is their purpose

These people call me 4 times a day, and I've now called twice to be asked to put on the Do Not Call list. I left for a trip out of the country and they clogged my mailbox with 25 blank voicemails to the point that my family wasn't able to leave me a voicemail ab something extremely urgent and important (that a close family member had passed away). Incredibly frustrating but it seems there's nothing you can do...

This number has been appearing on our caller ID for the past week. No identifying info other than the number, and messages are just dead air.

They have called me as well.  I think they are from OXFAM, probably seeking donations for crisis.

They aren't scumbags and they are following the law. You might actually check the no call law. However, it is not on Fox.

Non-profits are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.  Oxfam calls when there is a crisis, right now it is in Somalia.

OXFAM, which began as a British charity. It really does give aid to the poor, but they are so annoying. They call several times a day and I've had to start turning off my phone as I'm a nurse on third shift. They never leave a message but do succeed in waking me up. Pretty soon, I'll be going PRN, which is working when called, so cannot turn off the phone. Sleepy nurses are not a good thing. I also wonder how much telemarketing costs OXFAM which means there isn't much left for the poor. In addition to that, the annoyance factor probably cuts off a lot of good will. I know I won't donate to them.
