The Union of Concerned Scientists is a charitable organization which IS allowed to call you even if you're on the DNC list. Check your information on charitable and political organizations and you'll see that they can call you.

My calls from 661-670-2609 never answer when I pick up the phone! If it really is UCS, this is a lousy way to try to get donations. I used to donate to them.

I've been getting these anonymous phone calls multiple times daily for weeks. I do not answer and they never leave a message. The only ID is the phone number and location: 661-670-2609, Newhall CA.

These folks have repeatedly called in recent weeks; my wife has answered and the caller refuses to provide details other than that there is some relationship to my activities (which could match the Union of Concerned Scientists assignation from another report), My wife has requested that the calls be discontinued, and was told that calls would continue on the basis that I have a relationship. I have not made direct contact.

Been receiving hang up calls from them early every morning. Went to the UCS web site and sent them an e-mail. I am hoping that if they really are so "concerned" they will take action and set some rules with their hired solicitors.

Caller asked for somebody else. If they are genuinely from the UCS, they ought not be calling folks on the Do Not Call list. I won't donate money to anybody who calls me.

It is a solicitation of funds from the Union of Concerned Scientists, or whoever they hired to raise money for them. If you call back the number, you can speak to a person who will take you off their list.

They keep calling but there is never anyone there. The identification says UCS.
