picked up without looking at caller ID first, but call was easy : Hello may I speak to Mrs. So-and-so - Sorry ... no can do ! ........ Can't you get her to phone at this time please - No! - Is she not home now ? - Sorry she hasn't been here for the past  thirty plus year's, I haven't found her yet myself. - ............ Uh ....... - I hung up.

They called just as i was falling asleep answered, it hung up, called back and got a message blah blah drugs and it said press 2 to be removed from the list did it hope they dont call again. ive been getting bullf rom all over the place and i answer hoping its a real person so i can tell them to f**k off.

I answered and it said hey drug addcit you answered for once i got your# from someone saying you were a drug addict so come and join us at are next retreat

I see I have a few calls from Response, Due to the name and area code, I have never answered the calls. They still call, not very often.
But like others have said, do not call numbers back, you might get stuck with a pricey phone bill.
Google the number, then block the number.
I can only block 10 numbers, but I wish that was unlimited.

Called back, some Addiction Specialist.  Press 2 to be removed from their calling list.

"This is a community service call.  Do you or anyone you know have an addiction problem."  The recording was very polite and said to press 9 to have your number added to the Do Not Call list.

Received an automated message.   I deleted the message.

I just got this call, the call id said "response".    What can I say to them?   Oooh i know, I'll answer the phone then put it down and start yelling, "Quick! get rid of the meth! hide the pot!  put the coke in the sugar bowl! someone's at the door.   And don't forget to hide the body!"

Got 2 calls within a minute from this number.  I did not answer either and no message was left.

Got a phone call from 661-774-4842 at MY WORK place about 25 mins ago. (8-13-13).   Since we have offices all over the US, I wasn't sure if I should answer, decided not to since I am unfamiliar with area code (never had calls from area code 661 before).  I let it go to VM.  It's sad that my work phone is getting telemarketing calls now about a host of different things.  Fortunately if I don't recognize the area code as a normal business call, I don't answer.   They always seem to start ringing the work phone after 4pm I've noticed.  If this particular number is about drug problem, then no one here has a drug problem....though maybe a few need some drugs to calm themselves down.....LOL.

This number called my cell phone and I did not answer (I am a day sleeper/Work nights) but living in North Carolina and having family in California I was concerned and called it back. When I called it back I got a Verizon message that the number was disconnected... no doubt a scam and I hate I dialed it back! :(  If people would spend as much time working as they do trying to steal, they wouldnt need to steal!!!!!

Some foreign sounding dude saying that someone who took out a payday loan listed me as a reference. I told him I don't know anyone dumb enough to take out a payday loan and hung up. Seemes to have done the trick, no call backs so far.

just got this call on my home phone.  I live on Long Island my entire life, never been to CA.  (Uncle wanted me to visit him in Carmichael but I don't fly so not happening).  Anyway, let voicemail get it just in case, but did think it was my Uncle.  googled number and came here.  good thing I didn't answer it.  

I'm going to answer it next time and give them my sister's number!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Three weeks ago, my cell got three calls within two minutes from this number.  From 800Notes message boards, I see it is the same scummy outfit that called my cell twice in the same minute six days later from 918-866-7810.  Apparently they use multiple numbers which are not actually where their calls are originating.  I simply do not answer calls I do not recognize the number for.  In my case, if it's a legitimate caller, they will leave voice mail or try my land line.

Scam artist no doubt

My recommendation is to not answer a unknown number or even return the call.  Just like spammer email once you read msg or call back number it alerts the unknown recipient that this service is valid.  If they have called your cell, their is a function that most cell carriers have equipped on the phone which will prevent any callers not listed in your contacts to reach you.  That and if you want to remain anonymous just download the feature that will list your number as unknown to other callers as well as the additional feature that will disable txt msging.

My synopsis is, while traveling through this area I was pinged upon location and what better way to find out if such number is valid then to have a dummy distributor attempt to make contact for additional voice recognition.
