Got a call from these parasites yesterday, and the Caller ID said Antelope Valley. Smooth operators, these people, by using some phony name to get you to pick up. I listened to the robocaller explaining how they can get lower interest rates on my credit cards. I pushed the 1 and got a real person. I told her I don't have cards, and CLICK! Very rude. And I'm on the no-call list, too. No sense complaining to anyone, especially the federal government. They keep telling me they can't do anything about it. But the FBI and CIA can track a snowflake back to a cloud and bug phones and computers, but can't do anything about these scammers?

We are on the no call list.  When I tried to call back the number left on our caller ID, Antelope Valley,661-949-5892,to inform the caller to stop calling us and that they should not have called us in the first place, I was unable to connect.  This call was in violation of State law in Wisconsin

Just got a call from that number, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. This is the reason I got rid of a land line!

just wanted to add, for the naive phone owner, wherever you see FREE Reverse Phone Lookup, don't be fooled. Nothing is free anymore. They might look it up and tell you they have all the information. All you have to do is fork over a fee to find out what they know. Oh, and give them some of your personal information. Could as easily be a phishing scheme as not. I don't trust anyone who lies to me.

I just received a call from this number with the ID of Antelope Valley. That's all the information I have because I never answer calls from anyone I don't know.

I still like the story of the guy who picked up when one of these pond scum parasites called. He pretended he was a detective at the scene of a murder and insisted the called identify themself as they could become a material witness to the crime.

Didn't recognize number on my cell and sent to voice message. Decided to check here to see what it is. So glad I didn't answer it. I know about these calls that hope we are dumb enough to give them personal information. Whatever happened to National Do Not Call?

This call was to my cell, and I never answer calls on my cell unless I know who it is. If it is important, they will leave a message. Based on the other comments here, they are a credit card scammer. Since I don't own any credit cards, they wouldn't have been able to finish their scam. What's in my wallet? Cash!

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

Called my cell phone. Automated message from "Account Services" for my credit card. Said I was eligible for a lower interest rate on my card and to press 1 to speak to a rep or 2 to not receive any more notices. I just hung up. An app on my phone marked this as spam and has blocked it for me. Do not respond to them - just hang up and block the number.

Call from "my credit card" with an offer to lower my interest rate.  Said it was my "final notice."  Hopefully, that is true.
