Computer SCAM.

I missed the call and they can consider themselves lucky.  I don't take kindly to solicitors.
I called the number back
"I'm sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed."

They are scumbags  Trying to scam you about computer issues!  I will pray for their violent death!

Got a call tonight same old same old. I asked him where he was at, he said Vegas. We know a lot of people in that area and never saw that area code before. When I told him that Microsoft does not call people and that his phone number does not connect with that area he hung up. Be very careful out there.

Another "your computer is infected" scam.  Want to easily knock them out of their socks?  Ask them what the name of YOUR computer is (your PC name as found under "My computer | Computer Name).  Betcha your ear will hurt with the *click* sound in your telephone as they hang up!!

I have been getting calls from this number and I never answer it but today I got curious and answered it. The man sounded foreign and he said he was with windows update and that my computer wasn't receiving updates properly so I told him that sounds crazy to me and why would you be calling about this. He kept insisting that my computer needed to be fixed to accept windows updates. He directed me to go to my computer so he could fix the problem and I told him he was full of it and I hung up.

I get this call at least once a month.  It is always the same guy calling me...telling me he is from Microsoft and my computer is sending them messages all the time.  My PC is getting ready to crash....if I don't do something about it I will be sorry...all that kind of BS.  I asked him if he works at Microsoft and he says no, but my computer is going to crash soon.  I said if you were from Microsoft then why did you not give me your name...he goes back to the same story....so I told him to put me on their Do Not Call List...yet he still talks over me.  I had to yell at him to stop talking and there is a law that states if I ask to be no longer receive phone calls from them they MUST hang up immediately and let me know they will not call me anymore.  The following month I get a call from a different phone number...same thing goes  on.  So today...I told him I could not talk to him long...I had a police officer here with me and the officer wants to talk to him......then I heard...CLICK!  LOL!  But they call once a month...and I don't know how to get rid of them permanently.  I do feel bad for the seniors they call....they get scared and get sucked in....that is just terrible to take advantage of senior citizens!!  If anyone has a solution that you have used...post it here so the rest of us can do the same.  Thank you!

Another call from another scam - I answer and there's no response.  I wait and wait and wait - still nothing at the other end until the line goes dead.  How do we stop this nonsense and why on earth would they call and then not talk to me?

Keeps calling every hour and hanging up when either I answer or my machine does.  Please get it to stop!!

Frequently receiving calls from 662 233 8877. No one answers of leaves a message. Most of the time I ignore it because I don't recognize it; however, tried to answer it two times in the last 24 hours to tell the caller to take me off his/her list. This appears to be spam.

Just received a call from Mississippi from 1-662-233-8877 saying our computer wasn't responding to their (?) updates.   We recognized it as a scam and said, "Well, then we'll have to call our own technical support."    The person on the line had a Middle Eastern accent.   Too bad we have to put up with this!

Received call from an Indian or Middle-Eastern speaking individual claiming that my computer was not running Windows updates correctly.  He never identified himself but when I asked "what are you taking about", he repeated himself.  When I asked him how did he know I had a computer, he then said ... "You don't have a computer?"  I responded with ... "You tell me.  You're the one who said my computer wasn't updating".  He then hung up.  

First time they called I hung up with no communication.  Then they  started to make stalking calls by calling at twice a day and then hanging up after saying Good By... Scam I think.. but someone needs to block them from calling...

First they called from 347-753-9068 and then called back from 662-233-8877 to try again

Individual (with Indian accent) called saying he represented Micro Soft and did I know my computer was not responding. I said he was full of stuff and he was part of a scam. He disagreed. I told him he did not know what he was talking about and hung up. The fact is I had a computer that was MS 2003 which has ended updates and protection but have replaced it with new tower equipped with a much more recent Micro Soft program. I am on every "Do Not Call List" I know and find these calls annoying and know they are fraudulent. I do not use bad language but am tempted.
