Received two calls today from this number.  When I tried to call back got a message that the number is not set up to receive calls.  So I googled the number and found this.  I'm in Des Moines, IA and I do not have a Wells Fargo account of any kind.

Received call from 662-328-1666 10/5. I read report on QCTimes.com about phone scam. I ignored the call. Message said my bank account was locked & to press 1 to unlock it. I'm also in the Davenport, IA area.

People, Please do not give any personal information by phone! If they call you asking for information, ask them for a number you can call back or tell them you will call your bank personally! These scam artists must be stopped. If you give your information out and get scammed, call your local police department. Investigators are doing their jobs.

I got the call, and I am in Iowa too.  This was one of several junk calls that I started getting this week.  Two of the other numbers calling were 678-762-0321 and 716-204-1809.  These two had messages something about "your account has been locked."  The 678 number is listed for Solley Financial Services.  I see people have been getting calls from the 716 number supposedly on behalf of Wells Fargo.

they are targeting the Fort Dodge area too - i got 2 calls the last 2 nights. Article warning people about it in this mornings Fort Dodge Messenger (you can read the article online too)

Just called me twice- same thing happened here. They must be calling people from the same areas. I am from Davenport and Ames. I called back and it went to a voice mail for "Lindsay." I have no account with Wells Fargo.

I live in Iowa and just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the caller so I don't know what the call was about.

Called Wells Fargo Identity theft folks.  They have verified that IT IS A SCAM.   They have had a slew of reports about this.   I reported it to reportphish@wellsfargo.com which is on their website and the address the customer service guy said to report it to.  Good luck folks...don't let the evil b*****ds win!  :)

This number called my husbands phone tonight saying there were unauthorized charges made on our wells fargo credit card............. we don't have a credit card through wells fargo. We are also in Davenport.

From Iowa.  My husband and daughter have been getting the calls.  No Wells Fargo credit cards or bank avccounts.

same thing - they called my daughter's cell phone & she let it go to voicemail - she doesn't even have a Wells Fargo account... we are in Davenport too

This caller called my daughters cell phone but did not leave a message. My daughter had ordered uniforms from a company in Mississippi.

I was called as well here in Iowa along with my wife. I talked to another person who said he called Wells Fargo, and they immediately cancelled his cards.  For sure a scam.

Exact same thing happened to me, two nights in a row now.  10/4/11 and 10/5/11.  I am also in Davenport, Iowa.

this is a legitimate business number for Unishippers in Mississippi, but it has been hijacked by a phishing company posing as "wells fargo card security". the message says that your card has been locked for security reasons and they ask you to press one to unlock your card, and then they ask you to enter in your account number. total scam.

This number called me and said my Wells Fargo debit card had been locked, and press 1 to unlock it. I hung up, called the number back and got a business voicemail.
