We were almost scammed by this number too. He texts that he is in the military and is unable to be at his brothers' birthday party, because he is serving his country, and is buying the item for his brother. A PayPal look alike page is then sent to my email, with ignorant wording, which was our first sign...

This is definitely a scam who ever this is is using CL and the good nature of people to take advantage of them and scam them. Unfortunately he picked the wrong person this time and I have turned him in to the authority's. Do not do business with this scam artist.

got a text from this number above this morning. He insisted on receiving my pay pal info and that he would send payment and his movers would pick item up as soon as payment clearned. Glad I checked this site before following through with this

I second that. Received text from this number about a listing I had on CL. Insisting that I give him my email and address so that his movers could come get the item. Smells like a scam!
