I got several calls from 619-568-5599. No messages left. I called the number and it appeared to immediately hang up. I got dial tone. Weird. Technically, you can't do that. So, I called back and at the dial tone I enhtered one of my phone numbers. It called and showed the caller ID info of the number I called from. Can anyone reproduce that?

Some kind of anonymizer for phone calls?

A little googling shows some connectiojn with level3 which is pretty scary, I'm goine to follow up on this tomorrow at work with my telecom guys.

They keep calling me too.  The number that shows up from me is 518-207-0417. Out of Albany, NY.  It's really annoying. I'm glad i'm not the only one that they've been pestering.

Go to www.donotcall.gov, you can put your number on the not call list, and yo can also make report with the number that they call yo.

Global Crossing Local Services Inc has several US business addresses including Cambridge Mass. The company provides telecommunications services to residential and commercial accounts and does not have any terms of use for  their services. Many of their customers are shady establishments and even individuals who work for "marketing" agencies, many who've been manipulated and mislead about the job and end up doing whatever it takes to get a paycheck. Some of the more sophisticated customers of Global Crossing Local Services Inc have systems set up to crawl sites like Craigslist for phone numbers in the sale ads. The numbers are entered into an automated call system and then used for marketing and promoting things like web services, newly established sites designed similar to Craigslist that nobody knows of or wants to use... and much much more. The computers automatically call whatever number they find on Craigslist and other similar sites. No matter if the number is a private land line, business, personal cell phone, or company issued mobile phone. There are even people who send unsolicited text messages to the numbers they find on sites like craigslist and while they appear legit, the messages they send often have a link or URL they hope you'll click on that can install things on your smart phone that you dont want or know about. Some of the people Global Crossing Local Services Inc provide voice and data services to are also thieves trying to get you to install mal-ware on your smartphone so they can do all sorts of illegal things like use your phone number to spoof their own, steal your cellular account info, credit card info, steal your email user name and password, Facebook login credentials, corporate VPN and database access credentials etc etc etc.

Global Crossing Local Services Inc hide behind the veil of lawyer-written disclaimers stating that they are not responsible, nor do they know of or support and condone the activity of their customers and their privacy that is protected by law. Global Crossing is not unaware of the shady often criminal activity of their customers, they INTENTIONALLY market their services to appeal to those types of people!

I've gotten calls and text messages recently from 617 245 0661 and 617 226 3387 The texts contained URL links that attempt to install applications on my android phone. Texts are from an actual live person asking me about items I have listed for sale on Craigslist where I made the mistake of putting my number in the ad. I prefer using the phone to do business on craigslist and typically post my number as an image rather than texts so crawlers dont find it. I recommend everyone who uses Craigslist do it too. Simply use a program such as Microsoft paint. Select the text function and type your phone number. Use font size 14 or 16 Characters. Save it as a JPEG, GIF or PNG file and then post it into your ads as a photo and you'll get NO SPAM texts or unsolicited calls. (until someone figures out how to crawl for images containing text, if that happens, just use a paintbrush or pencil tool to create an image of your phone number and post it the same way.

Got a call at 8:00 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2013 from a number (909) 237-3579 that traced back to Global Crossing Local Services, INC. out of Rialto, CA.  I, too, am on the DNC list.  So they must be doing it again

I have call blocking and their number is now in there.

I live in Michigan and have received at least 2 phone calls a day, every day, for the past few weeks from a 1-360-836-4132 number and caller ID shows Verification FR.  They leave a message to call back with your number to remove it from their list.  When I called the number it only says "customer service" but not the company so I did not put in my phone number.  Finally, I  decided to answer one of these calls only to find out what all these calls are about; however, when I answer it then disconnects.  In one instance when I picked up someon spoke their name and then hung up......I don't get it but I am sick and tired of these calls and my phone number is on the do not call list.

I get repeated calls from this company every day. This is a scam!! They should have picked a better name for their company instead of one connected to a scandal!!! Google it!! I have reported this number as well as another # , 877-553-3114,different company name but same scam.

I get calls at least twice a week from this company. The number shows up as 6365903647. When I call I get a recording. I am tired of this and am on the DNC list. I wish there was some way I could stop this. If anyone has leads or has been successful please let me know.

moved on to a new number, all reverse lookup will tell me is that it is a land line owned by Global crossing, when I called the number provided, the speaker only spoke spanish.  new number is 7606903937 out of Escondido CA, has to be a fictitious address because the map for it showed the local branch of the library.

Was born and raised in north County, so imagine my panic when an unknown number with a San diego Area code comes up, I thought maybe it was the hospital calling about my grandfather or something....  Instead I get a cranky Hispanic woman.

I have received calls on my cell for my daughter, from GLOBAL CROSSING LOCAL SERVICES, INC, in Deerfield Beach, FL from these two numbers 866-257-3628 and 954-775-3863. They told me it was "personal matters" that they needed to discuss with my daughter from a guy, DeShawn at 7:30 am!!!!! Didnt feel right so I did a reverse phone inquiry and came up with this company and found that it's reported as a scam!!!

Repeated calls, some with odd menu, calling several times a day. I am on government don not call registry,
also have dog whistle by phone in case I have to whistle for my dog to come in while on the phone with unwanted marketing person.

Another recent Star Tribune subscriber here. I responded to a Star Trib e-mail subscription offer for their Sunday edition about three weeks ago, and have received the phantom call a half dozen times or more. TJ from 8Feb, have you followed through with the AG and local media?

This company started calling me after NECC telecom tried to scam money out of me.  I proved I did not owe them money.  They are F rated, horrible.  After they tried to get my credit card number over the phone, by some Russian woman.  Ever since that time that I resolved this fraudulent bill, this company keeps calling me.  FILE A POLICE REPORT.  This people must be criminals.

I have got a number of calls from 619-781-1249 and when I did a reverse look up it came back as a company with the name of Global crossing services inc based in San Dieago, CA. They have called me like 6-7 times a day, so I decided to call and yell at them and all they did is put me on hold for almost 10 mins. I hope its not one of thoes scames that put you on hold and then charge your phone like $10 a min or something like that. Id like to know how they got my cell phone number and why they keep calling me. Hope to find out soon.

Global Crossing Local Service, Inc is now calling me from 650-215-0840.  Craig even knew my name and my brothers name.  Very disconcerting!  This call originated from their offices in Mountain View, CA.

I can't get any work done because they keep calling..global crossing local services inc. in Churchville Maryland. #443-390-1500. They are calling my business land line, so I am also trying a block. Very rude people.

I have received a call twice in the last two days from 617-245-9601... I didn't answer the call, cuz I was not familiar with the number.  Well, I just looked it up on 411.com and gee guess what comes back..... Global Crossing Local Servcies, Inc  but in Cambridge, MA !  After I saw all of you messages, I attempted a call and the line goes dead....

Keeps calling won't leave a message.  When I call back it is a recording that says "customer service".

I receive calls from 443-390-1400 and 443-390-1500 almost on a daily basis, several times a day. They claim that I have requested information on how to start a home based business, although I have not and I tell them this every time they call.  Additionally, I tell them I am on the DNC list and to remove my number; at which point they hang up on me and then proceed to call back later.  I have attempted to call both numbers back, but when I am connected I am then immediately disconnected before the phone even rings.  I have filed a complaint with the DNC registry, as well as the FCC, yet they continue and I'm at my breaking point with them calling my cell phone multiple times a day.  Although I have caller id the only thing that shows in the name portion is "Maryland."

I've started getting calls from these people....on my cell phone.  The call I'm receiving is from 443-390-1400 and 443-390-1500, Global Crossing Local Servcies, Inc, Location: Churchville, MD.  My cell is on the DNC list.  I also subscribe to a local newspaper.  Not sure what the connection is unless business is so bad in the print media that they have resorted to selling their subscriber lists.

I get these calls about 3 or 4 times a day.  I was out of town for two days and when i arrived back at home around 3pm within minutes i got the 6782536211 call.  The odd thing is that while I was gone not a single unknown call came through.  I get many different numbers.  I think it is someone that knows me and is messing with me like spoof phone.  Has anyone else thought this?

This number came up on my caller id as 630-756-1841. When I did the reverse lookup it came up to Global Crossing as you guys. I haven't spoken to anyone, but they call from different numbers to get you.

they are using another phone number now...7189899350 which is out of new york city..reverse phone look up provided this name, Global Crossing  Local Services, Inc.  I called back from my home number and they answered saying, "hi, are you returning my missed phone call....i hung up without talking.  not sure what this is about, not sure how they got my cell phone number, wasting my time and my minutes.

This number keeps calling me a couple times a day on my cell. When I answer they hang up, if I don't answer they do not leave a message. My cell "is" on the DNC list. The number they are calling me on is my work number that I do phone support on. It is really annoying to keep answering the phone to be hung up on. I am physically working and providing phone support at the same time. The number is different than the other peoples, but a reverse look-up shows the same company in CA.

Global Crossing Local Services, Inc., this is the number that I got on the reverse look up for 845-512-1599, from New York...it is the same company.  What the company does is validate certificates for security purposes on the internet, as well as provide internet services...and it seems that this is a SCAM since they are calling from so many different locations as well as different numbers...probably phishing or other type of scam. I didn't "answer" the calls.  I picked up and hung up...and that is that. I don't answer calls that are blocked, unknown, or from someone I don't know.

Got a call from this number and just renewed my subscription to the Houston Chronicle.

I am recieving a call from 5616231403 in Palm Beavh, Fl. They called about 10 times in one day. I ignored the calls and contacted my server and they blocked the number through a nuesonce block.
