STOP CALLING

When the Do No Call first went into effect, it was working. Not any more. We are now getting as many calls as we were before the DNC went in. If doesn't do any good to report to the DNC web site cuz they are unable to stop it. The scums are able to fake the numbers that appear on caller ID and when you tell them not to call again or that you are on DNC, they just laugh and hang up. Few days later another one is calling.

Didn't answer since didn't recognize the number.  Good thing I didn't.  Came up as "wireless caller" always a flag not it seems.n

Got a call, pressed (1) and it went to one of the "If you wish to make a call" messages. Call must have been dropped in the time that I was listening to their entire 30 Sec+ message. Apparently these idiots don;t know their own spoof. I looked up the number using www.pipl.com and quickly found it was spoofed (this is a deep web search and if it comes up with nu results chances are the number is a VoIP spoofed number. I looked up the local providers for this Area code and 1st three digits and found:

TELEPORT COMMUNICATIONS ATLANTA, INC. - GA
BIRCH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. - GA
LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC - GA
COMMPARTNERS, LLC - GA
XO GEORGIA, INC.

Teleport Communications could not be found anywhere except in legal cases and when i called Birch they claimed this was not their number. I kinda gave up at this point, but like to mention that I have called exchanges before and they will look into this if it is their number that is being spoofed (it should be costing them money). I probably spend too much time trying to "F" the telemarketers, but I would only be on Facebook (the other "F") otherwise :)

End of story: It's probably a spoofed VoIP number. Would love to find software that would allow me to find out who is on the other end of this call.

Senior Citizen something or other...pressed 5 to be taken off the list, although I wanted to press 1 and ask a bunch of questions just to waste their time.

I don't pick up unknown calls...so you idiots stop calling.  You are wasting your time.

No answer when I picked up the phone.

I just got a call from this number and no one would say anything when I said "hello". Called the number back and got a message that said; "This mailbox is full." Yes, I'm on the Do Not Call list...not that it seems to do any good.

This solicitor calls on the average of once each week and I have answered Ed's Home Alarm Service
and this idoit still attempts to sell me a security system. What a jerk

I am really getting tired of all these unwanted calls!  What has happened to the do-not-call list?
