call the police give them all names and phone numbers of the people calling you make sure its documented just in case they try to take you to court that way the courts and the police are aware of the fraud thats the only way they will be caught and you will be protected

Called my father's house and said he was with Don't Harris law firm.. He said if I don't call within 24-48 hrs I would have charges brought against me. A call back number of 1-866-549-8189. Said he was Frank Carter.

These guys are scammers, they claim to have a warrant and want to serve me. Said I had credit card debt that is/was past due and in collections, don't have any credit cards, pay all in cash and have had no debt for ten+ years.  The then asked if I would be home "tomorrow" so they could serve me... All this in a message left on phone... Didn't call, why would I, so I would sit and wait for some fraud to come by...  

I was contacted today by someone claiming to be an investigator and claiming they were hired to serve me.  They claim I owe some company called CMG from 2012 the amount of $300.  They gave me the following number to call (888) 682-5439 and I spoke to someone that said his name is Tyson Thompson.  According to Tyson he can take a payment of $480 over the phone I informed him I don't have that kind of money right now and furthermore, don't believe I owe this company any money so I need him to email or fax me some information to prove this.  He could not all he kept saying is he's just trying to help me nand they have verified everything.  I told him I need to verify on my end because there are too many scams going on these days...he just kept reiterating that he's just trying to help me. I tried to call back this investigators number that stated "You have reached the investigation dept please hang up do not leave a message".  That number is (203) 617-0648.  This entire thing seems sketchy and I will not pay a cent until they can prove to me that I actually owe this money.

I am sure there is coming a day when all these scammers (I call them slawyers) will realize that the whole civilized world is on to their antics and that there are NO more victims for them to prey on.  That is why I will continue posting here because this one web site has the potential to do more good on a world wide basis than any social media site or search engine because it provides a real service that has value right now to someone.  

It wasn't the same phone number but.  The same cgm &associates.  Number is 8665498189.  They said the same stuff. Investigator calling on a debt and they settle for less.   It's a scam I couldn't find a business location for them

Received multiple threating voicemails from CMG Group, they also called and harrassed my mother and my daughter. I'm reporting them.

CMG Group had a man call me and say that a warrant is being issued for my arrest because I got a pay day loan from them in 2011 which I did not. But before he told me that he said my last name and recited my full social security number and threatened to call my father to court as a witness for the state. How do these people get my personal information? What should I do?

CMG pulled a completely different scam on me.  Charged me $1495.00 to lower interest rates on my credit cards.  I'm not usually THIS stupid, but I was this time.  Their area code was 307, but my cc shows  678 325 1538.  Caveat emptor.

Just got a call from the CMG & associates!  They say that I owe a thousand dollars from over 7 years ago?? I know these people are scam please watch out for them!!!

This so called company CMG Check Fraud  has been calling my ederly grandnother in Mich. telling her about a check that a pay day loan wasn't paid by me in 2006. They are using    Advance America name to get a payment. I did have loan with them, but it was paid 6 years ago. I setup  to pay a certain amt, and paid 1 pmt and I started getting more calls from them, so now I will not respond to them at all. They use 2 diffrent number 4042207611 or 678-325-1538 use name as William , Jmaes Miller, Mrs. Brown and Mr. Hardy I ahve reported this to Ohio State Attorney Office.

The use of any business, company, or organization name other than the true name of the debt collector's business, company, or organization

The false representation or implication that an individual is an attorney or that any communication is an from an attorney

The false representation or implication that the consumer committed any crime or other conduct in order to disgrace the consumer

The Attorney General will boldly bring a class action suit to companies who actively conduct business in this manner

Lalanda Hill, who goes by Ms. Rohi, is the person who set up agreements outside the boundaries of the FDCPA. She is acting out as a result of being terminated. So while she is giving out inaccurate information, she will eventually feed into her own demise.

I just got a call from this invesitagor Miller for the same problem, saying he was
Going to be felony charge against me by tomorrow if I didn't call back today.
So I called back, and I asked him to send me paperwork of this loan which I knew nothing
about.  He said they sent it already, so I said I never got anything
And I asked him to send it again.  He got upset with me and ended the call.

A few minutes later he called my neighbor asking for me. If he calls again I am calling my Attorney General.  How do we stop this from happening to so many people from this firm?

I am in Texas and received a call from a family member in Ohio saying Investigator Miller contacted them with information regarding a fradulent loan applied for by my daughter (also in Tx), but using my fathers information (who lives in Ohio) as a cosigner. The two have never met, and never knew each others full names before this Mr. Miller called. Can someone explain how this kind of thing can take place please? i have two sides of a family up in arms right now over something that no one can explain

I got same call and he threatened to turn me in and arrest me. He didnt know anything on the account and knew my social. I called police and they confirmed he is a scam. Now I put fraud alert on my social. why isnt he being stopped.

I just recieved a second call for this "Investigator Miller". He said he was trying to get ahold of my sister and proceeded to tell me that my sister has not paid the payment arrangements as was agreed. He also called in July and talked about criminal charges. I told him I felt like he was breaking confidentiality by telling me this stuff. He said because I was supposedly put down as a reference they could share the info he shared. My sister said she has already paid the company for the loan and doesn't understand what is going on. Ugh!!

Mr Miller with CMG calling about fraud on my checking account, under my driver license & soc securtiy number.  I did not return the call.  This is the message he left on my VM.

I was scammed by the same people that you were!!! I paid the Lombardo Davis Firm and they are no longer in business or opened up under a different name.  Now I am being harrassed by Mr. Miller at CMG & Associates. I  dont owe anyone money. Not sure how to stop this harrassment!!!!

don't  pay them anything...all you have done if you havent paid this debt is default on a loan which isn't a felony and they cant have you arrested..now they could pursue a civil litigation to get payment but most of them (payday loan co.)  won't because they charge in most states more than the legal amount of interest rate and a lot of courts look at these  loan companies as loan sharks..i know in the state of tn. there is a limit to what they can charge.
