As confirmed before, the calls come from a debt collection company named "CBE Group." I've gotten five calls from this company in the past three days. Normally, if it's a number that I don't have archived in my contacts, I give the person the chance to leave a message. Well, considering that this call has been given to me five times in such a rapid succession, with no message in what the call was for, I decided to call it back myself. Had to go through the typical automations, before I was brought to a representative. Fortunately, she was kind, and was more than willing to take care of the concern after I explained why.

Lastly, if anyone can tell me who "Jared Simpson" is, let me know... This is the fourth time a company has looked for this person.

Keep calling at all hrs. And dont leave message or nothing... calls 10 to 20 a day.....getting old............

Chris - Thank you very much for posting the information about how to get our number removed from CBE's system. I did what you said and found out the person they were trying to reach wasn't me and they removed my number from their system.

these people keep calling my cell phone and we don't have dish network, they are  saying we owe 15.00 and we do not owe them, we switched to direct tv and get a better deal and better service. i told these jokers to get the hell of my cell phone and not to call again that they have been turned into the authorities for harassment as well as the attorney general, they are not a real collection agencies they are scam artist. turn these a***s in.

They keep calling me every hour.  So annoyance.

IT's a collection agency called the CBE Group but I have no delinquent debts and the call me from three different phone numbers and ask for someone different with my same last name every time. They have never asked for me! They are phishing and I asked to be taken off their list, and am also on the National no call registry. This has not stopped them, four calls yesterday.

Yep, they have started calling me too.  Trying to get me to send my Dish receiver back, except there's one problem with that... I OWN mine.  I never leased from them.  I owe them 50 bucks for my final bill, and I talked to Dish last night actually, trying to get them to give me a better offer so I would feel better about turning it back on and staying with them, but if you're a current customer, they could care less about you.  My bill is less than 2 weeks past due and they have already turned me over to collections since I told them I was done.  This collection agency is not going to get a dime out of me.  I will pay it, but I will pay it to Dish once I get paid this weekend.  After that, the collection agency, and Dish, for that matter, can both kiss my @ss.  Local cable company offered me a LOT more channels for $26 a month if I bundle it with their internet that I already have.... I have been paying over $50 for Dish, so this will cut my TV bill in half.

This number belongs to the Man boy society and they are looking for children, little boys. Do not talk to these perverts !!!!

It's a legitimate collection agency. They are very nice and respectful, in my case it was dish network turning over a $16 bill that I do not owe. You can call them back and make certain they are looking for you. Good luck!

Just tell them they have the wrong number and to remove your number from their list or you will file a complaint against them. I just got a Verizon phone and I got 20 calls from 2 numbers in one day.
I called Verizon and told them about the issue and they changed my number free of charge with an apology.

I have absolutely no idea who these folks are! when i call back, it still doesnt say who they are.  They ask you to put in your "CS" number, whatever that is... o-0...

Call from this number @ Saturday 9:30 AM. Hung up before I could answer.
Call from this number again, Monday 8:30 AM. Also hung up before I could answer.
I call it back twice and get an unusual  "Call Failed" -- something that has not happened in the 7 years I've had my 'dumb phones' first with Cingular, now AT&T mobile. I consider this harassment.

A business - Lynch Construction - called me to let me know that someone from 1-678-331-7220 called 407-292-1982.  I am not now and never have been associated with this company and/or this phone number.

They call all the time and never leave a message for me. How annoying!

Call several times a day for 3 days and never left a message.So I blocked there number, if its not important enough to leave a message, its not important enough to call 6 times in 3 days.

good info, Chris. I found out the same info when I called them back and asked the name of their company. CBE.

They said our # wasn't in their system and therefore was probably removed. We'll see. I told her she obviously has the wrong #. They have called at least 3x/day approximately 3x/week for the last week or 2. It's my 8-yr old son's cell. Can't imagine he'd have a legal debt they would be allowed to collect on, since the law doesn't allow minors to go into contract with anyone. They obviously were given the wrong number, or got it written down wrong, or the lady changed it after she gave it to them a while back.  They didn't say who they wanted because they couldn't find our # in the system, even tho they called it 2 days ago.  

You can also file a complaint on the Federal Do Not Contact list if your # has been on there at least 30 days I think it is, and if they are harrassing you undeservedly and won't stop. I plan to.

they have been incessantly calling my son's cell phone (he's 8). I called them back and asked the lady what is the name of this business: CBE group. She didn't elaborate, but checked the # and said "it's not on our contact list at all, so I can't remove it". I started to tell her if we get any more calls from them that I'd be filing a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call Registry and also the FCC, but she interrupted me and said we shouldn't be getting any more calls because the # isn't on their list.  we'll see.

They need to stop calling my cell phone, I want nothing to do with them and I'm gonna contact my lawyer and sue for harassment if they don't leave me alone.

from what I've been told, they're not suppose to call you before 8am and not after 9pm or they're in violation. Thought you'd want to know.
