I have had a rather weird experience. I get a call from my sister which lives in Annapolis Maryland. She said she got a call from an 800service is what was on the phone. She said they wanted to know if she knew me. She said she didn't and hung up. She received another call from them yesterday and this woman got on there and was very buligerent with her. Said I was a defendant in a court case. My sister said that this woman told her she was from the Swartz and Grimm associates law firm. Well I can't find this law firm on the internet and I don't even know what this is about. If I owe a debt would not the company I supposedly have the debt with contact me first? Grimm and Swartz associates no information ????????/

This company has people with rude behavior and hollered at me on the phone, but I declined giving the guy my information and hung up.

I posted over 2 years ago that these people had been calling and bugging me for 2 years (that was then).  They have started calling me again!   So now that's 4 years!   The same old idle threats about filing against me, fraud, etc.etc.     Ignore them, don't speak with them at all if you can help it.   If they call you at work just tell them not to call and hang up!   They will not leave you alone once they have a phone number that they know is a good one.     Just hang up....there is nothing you can say to these people to make any difference they will just harrass you forever.  Don't even waste your time talking to them.  SCUM.

I received this call via text, saying they were from Union Bank & Trust and wanting to inform me that my debit card was deactivated and to call to activate. When I called, a recording immediately asked me to put in my 16 digit account #. I put in 16 random numbers. Then it asked for expiration, and I again gave a random date, then they asked for my pin # which I gave 4 random numbers. They then said "Thank you, your card is now reactivated". Hope the a$$holes try to use the "card" and it eff's them up. All the numbers were made up. NO REPUTABLE BUSINESS WILL EVER ASK FOR PIN NUMBERS.

My name is Alston GEORGE, I was call many more times than I can count about paying an old Verizon bill,so I set up a by weekly plan with Cohen Swarts and Associate,paid the bill off,got a letter from them,this was 9/4/2012,and its still on my credit report as if I never paid anything, try to call no answer from the number on the letter

This company call me and I must be naive because they were calling me about a bouce check I did with a payday loan and I explain to them what happen(how I lost my job for three years). They were rude, heartless. They told me they are last company to go thru and they can sign me over to the state and I can deal with jail or a warrant for my arrest but it will be up to the state. I have never had a bouce check or been in trouble with the law so I got scared and gave them my account info to make payment out of the part time job i have now. I want to cry because it has taken majority of my check and I have a daughter which cause me to take a loan so i can get by. I don't want to go jail. Reading what you all have said, make me feel like a fool. Now, I don't know how to back off from this or know who they really are.

I just rceived a call this morning at 8 am!!!!!! I thought bill collectors could not call before 9am!!! Any way they say who they are from and I have a complaint against me (They leave a case#). They want me to call before "it's too late"

I receive call daily from Mr Battle who claims he's an investigator from ABC Int'l or sometimes Cohen Swartz and Assoc. I encourage ALL OF YOU to go to the website  ftc.gov/complaint and file your complaint with the federal trade commission. If enough of you do this, perhaps it will stop them. People like these will always exist and we as consumers must be leary of their practices. Tell all your friends on facebook, twitter etc. about this and perhaps we can stop them.

I got a call from this company and immdediately reported this info to the Attorney Generals office. First they called my home and then next week or so they were calling  my job advising they were going to send someone to my job to serve me w/court papers.They are some compnay out of Georgia and anyone that gets a call from them should report it to their Attorney General's office.

the address you gave is located somewhere near the cumberland mall,in smyrna ga.the address says atlanta-but that's not the case.i lived in georgia for 38 years and used to work at a 30339 zip code.there are now several office buildings located there.but if the government was really looking for this fradulent bunch of a***oles-it could find them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  they have been calling my stepson here in kentucky,also.but i didn't know the address.well-i'm making a trip to georgia,in august,anyway and they might have a surprise visit from the local authorities.chances are they have a locked door,entry gained by a special code.it's .a call center operation.

They called me stating that I had 14 days to pay a debt to loan point usa or that I would go to jail for check fraud. After reading numerous posts, I have discovered that this company is a scam. They even provoked my company phone number somehow to show that my job was calling me about a possible wage garnishment. A woman by the name of Ms. James was calling me. I went into work that day and looked in the company directory and discovered that there is no Ms. James working for my company. A woman named Stacy stated that I have owed this debt for five years and it is now 1100.00. How could that be. She was a belligerent woman and a queen bi*** and Mr. Leonard Phillips was not very pleasant either. He was supposed to call me back with a confirmation number and he never did. And when I call the number back, all I get is a generic greeting saying that "no one is available to take my call know." and it beeps and hangs up. I actually went back through all the mail I have fro stuff I owe and found a letter for a totally different company that this one for the debt owed to loan point usa. This place is also using a new number out of Atlanta and it is #678-608-3229. If this was actually true, they would have sent me a letter in the mail stating this fact. When I asked Stacy why I did not receive anything in the mail, she stated that she did not need to send me anything in the mail, that they did not have the time to do that. And when they made it look like my job was calling me, they somehow manipulated the number to make it look like they were calling me and not them.  I call one number to call my job, it is a totally different number when you dial out because you have to dial 9 before you dial a number to get an outside line. They are total scammers and need to be stopped one way or another.

I am having the same issue. The company has stated that I owe a debt of 1100. and that if I did not pay the settlement amount of 650. that I would go to jail and face a check fraud charge in my state. They never sent me anything in writing and I had no clue about it. I am seeking legal advice. How can a loan of 400 end up being 1100. I have given them a 325 payment and they were supposed to call me back with a confirmation number. I do not know now what to do and I am very nervous that they are going to try to get more than that from me. Is there anyone else having a problem with this company recently. I received another phone call today. threatening me. hae not received any documentation regarding their affliation with this account. I asked them to mailme something and they said they have. Well I have received something from another collection agency but not them. What can we do to stop this

During 2008 I took a payday loan with Loan Point and agreed to make payments over several weeks. I kept on making payments (just the interest) until March 2009 when I could no longer afford to.
The bank closed my account.I was unemployed for 2 years until recently.
I got a call from this company saying that they were a collection agency for Loan Point and that there was a  pending civil law suit for Check fraud for the loan I did not pay.
I was terrified so I agreed to make a 100 dollars payment.They agreed to send me an e mail and they never did.
They also want me to pay another 600 Dollars to settle the debt.
I don't have money for an attorney can you help by letting me know where could I seek help.

I've been getting phone calls from a Stacy Johnson.. She said that I had a outstanding payday loan but I didn't reconize the company. I told her I wasn't giving any CC info over the phone with out more information, I asked for a certified letter and she told me " I don't have time for that". Then proceeded to tell me I was going to be sued. After that conversation I recieved more phone calls from Stacy Johnson. After about a week or so I started getting phone calls from Leonard Phillips from Cohen, Schwartz and assc. (probably from the next cubical from Stacy)... In short Stacy mentoned she knew all about me and even mentioned my bank, I laughed cause it wasn't even my bank.... So be warned. If I did have a legitimate debt I would think I would recieve a certified letter or A letter...

Thank God I read this message, because I had already set up and made two payments to these same people.  And I spoke with a Ms. Mahon at 770-239-9720 ext. 832 in reference to Loanpoint USA.  I'am going to call them as well and I will also call my credit card bank and let them know that I have been scammed and try to get all my funds back.  Because she had all the needed information and everything so I took this to be a legit business collecting for these people.  OMG Thank you for letting people get on here and let others know what the deal is with these folks.

Yes I did the same thing and gave them my debit card number.  The lady I spoke with was very nice but if this is a scam then I will not put another dime on the card.

i keep getting calls from 770-239-6720 telling me if i don't call back they will make a decision and send my case to magistrate court,i called back and the girl that answered the phone actually hung up on me and said to quit calling when i questioned what company this was and what they do, she kept asking me my number and i told her i will not give it out until she tells me exactly what they investigate and she got angry when i wouldn't tell her anything and just kept asking questions and she hung up

Calls everyday threaten to take me to court they are very rude and won't answer any of my questions.

also calling from 267-773-6092.  been calling me for over a year asking leaving messages asking for someone who i am not, and do not even know.  have nicely asked not to be called three times with no success after being told i was being taken off call list.  today i snapped and called them back 20-25 times within 5 minutes hanging up as each person answered and finally erupted on a woman in an expletive filled rant to leave me alone.  she initially threatened to "contact the county about my phone account" if i continued but i would gladly do the same again.
