Got a call from a 404 and a 866 number,they are both claiming that a civil suit has been filled against me and also my husband. one of the numbers is from BITGUARD. These people even called my work! The 866 number even gave me a case number.

I keep getting a recording for someone I don't even know. This is very aggravating to have my day disrupted by someone else's issues. I have tried to call back to notify them that they have the wrong number but I only get a voicemail.

This company, Garrett and Associates Firm is a fake company. It is a scam!!!!! I did my research and found out they lied about me having a balance with American Web Loan. They STOLE over $900.00 from me!!!!! When I call them to tell them they ran a scam on me they hung up. I called back over and over that day and they did not answer the phone. When they did answer after hours of calling on and off that day, they changed their company name three times.....This company is a scam, please don't give them a dime. These are the numbers I called and now they have a new name......888-277-2556 & 954-200-6925.

I have received a phone call from this number saying that I have a case against me and that my file has been sent back to the people that brought the charges against me. They leave no name just a phone number to call back, stating that I have 24 hours to return their call. This call was place on August 10, 2013 at 1:15 . I'am not calling them back , and I will not send them any money., I they have a case against me let them sent me the information in writing. I'am not giving them any information.

They have ben calling my cell and looking for a high school boy friend...OMG

High School ws over 30 yrs ago & I certainly did not have a cell phone so how did they get my number and I thought it was lleagal to leave info about someone else on a voicemail

They are still calling and going strong. They now use the numbers 678-456-3158 as Bitguard Inc and a new one 770-217-3383 as Bitguard Inc also. They left same type voicemail about a civil suit, etc. They are just a bs debt collector with a new twist. I have reported both numbers to the police just so I can cover the calls I am logging. Keep a log on them and then report them to the Fed line for harassment.

I got a call from them on my job.  They were VERY rude to the receptionist.  I had her supervisor call them back to let them know if they called my job again they will be reported.  The person Mr. Robinson that is what he calls himself was very rude to her also.  It sounds to me like it is a home scam.  I swear they sound like it is about three of them looking through the phone book and giving off fake account numbers.   I will let you know their weak spot.  Just give them what they give you they cannot take it!  He (Mr. Robinson) got so pissed he barely could speak, it was funny to hear!  Just tell these Jerks to back off!  I have advised our receptionist to just hang up if they call again!

Came up BitGuard, Inc. but clearly a scam.......says a civil suit was pending but if I paid money it would go away. Even called my daughter.  Started off as a payday loan default which was also a scam but these calls pop up every couple of months always from another "company".  Such a scam but guess their perserverance must pay off at times.  SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!

They are a so called collection agency called Garrett Morretti& Ross. 375 Rockbridge Road NW Suite 172-215 Atlanta, GA 30047. They claim they got the account from NCRA and it was originally sent to them from a company called thinkcash. The so called legal liasion was flabbergasted when I asked for a debt validation letter. He says they don't mail anything out but can send me an email. Of course it won't have the original amount and won't show payments mader or interest. So I am like you want me to pay for something you can't validate in writing. Then he ask me why do I want the address I said so I can put my request in writing. He was like oh I am gonna do your request I said ok that is find but I still want to put my request in writing. Then he says you sure an email won't do? Really and you call yourself a legal liasion.

There is a guy by the name of Jim Stephenson calling from Garret and Associates. he claims there is a civil suit against me and gave me a reference number. The first time he called and left a message it was a 800 number but the caller Id was and iowa number out of des moines. Now today he calls from Ga. Then he called my work they told him I was not there and he got angry and told them to put me on the phone. he then hung up and called right back, after being told a second time I was not there he was not nice to the gal on the phone. This is flagging scam all over it...civil suits are never done over the phone.

This is exactly what I told the man that called me.  Send it to me in the mail or have it deliver via carrier.  He asked me for my email address, I told him no if you have my phone number than I am sure you can find the email address.

The first called my grandmother's house asking if there is anyone who could get in contact with me.  Then they called my house and spoke to my mother telling her that it would be in the best interest of her and me that I get in contact with them about a lawsuit.  Her tells my mother that his name is Inspector Matthews.  

I contacted the FCC and I am going to contact the police and file a report.  I am getting tired of these people.  This is the second time some has called like this.  First they told my mother that they were coming to arrest me from my job.

The number they left was a local phone number.

CALLED AND STATED I WAS GOING TO JAIL, I SAID RUN IT I TOOK THE LOAN DID NOT PAY IT BACK ETC. AND THAT gna SERVICES WASHANDLING IT ( AND THEY DID). hOW DO I STOP THESE IDIOTS, I HAVE THE DOCUMENTATION THAT VALIDATED THE ALLEGATION, AND THE AGREEMENT THAT RESOLVED IT, AS WELL AS THE rELEASE LETTER FROM GNA. I just got a phone call from a woman claiming to be from cmit group and collecting for MGE? She had social security number with the numbers all askew. Also she had my inlaws address. She told me that I had a choice to either get an email from her with payment options or be put on the court calender. I told her it must have been fraud since her info was wrong and I don't pay people who make threats over the phone. I told her to send me something in the mail that was in writing with proof of who did this. She said she couldn't do it ONLY email me info to make a payment. I told her well my attorney won't let me pay anything unless it is in writing and proof. She said she would dismiss the phone call. I was like do what u want. Did she really think I would pay something just like that over the phone because she SAID I owed money. Don't pay these people a dime. If they were legit they would have proof and they would send u something in the mail!!!

A sergeant from CMIT said I was a defendant in a law suit.

They called my previous employer from 6 years ago trying to state there was a civil suit filed and for me to call.  The first number they gave was to a hotel.  The hotel clerk had no record of the name they gave nor the ext number they gave.  This has SCAM written all over it!!!!  if someone is concerned about any suits that may have been file against them, you can request you credit report and it should show it on there!!!

I get this calls all the time and I tell them it's a scam but they keep calling.  I am forwarding this to all my friends and I would like to know how to get this to stop.

I just got the message for my old best friend.  I havent spoken to year in about 4 yrs so I have no idea how they would have gotten my number.  so i called them back and told them i havent spoken to her in years and he said ok i will take your number out of our system.  but i didnt call them from my cell i called them from my work phone.  he didnt even ask me what my name was or my number.  hopefully i wont get anymore calls from them.

Got a call from these people, "CMIT Group" on my work phone just now. Spoke with some guy who identified himself as "Jace Handler" (most llikely a fake name) and he asked for some lady who has never worked here and who I have never heard of. When I told them they had the wrong number he asked if I had any idea how they may have got the number and I said I had no idea and don't call here again. Then I read on the Internet they are a SCAM. If they call again, going to report them.

Called and came up on my caller ID as if my Mom was calling! However they did that it scary! Left message saying the same thing as rest of you. If you call back they will not give you any supporting documents and say they will see at court. CRAZY!

I have been receiving these calls at home, they are looking for my daughter. Just this morning they called my work phone number which is not public knowledge. I think they have somehow gained access to my daughter's old cell phone, unlocked it and are using the address book to contact people. I am so furious right now I have flames shooting from my eyes. Has anyone contacted their state attorney's office or the FTC and had any results or comments from them? These people need to be found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
