While it is humorous that Kennard's "church" is cold calling in Charlotte, NC for "donations" for it's Georgia based church, it is sad that people haven't allowed themselves to have a little more fun with two bit crooks.

The Charlotte BBB says of them: "The company operates out of the Atlanta area and has an F rating with the BBB for not responding to five consumer complaints."Nspire Outreach does not meet this Standard because: Its effectiveness assessment policy does not specify that this assessment will take place at least once every two years." "It did not produce a written report outlining the results of its most recent effectiveness assessment." "It states it does not have audited financial statements for the past fiscal year."

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever called any of the following phone numbers or visited the following address?

530 Timber Laurel Ln Lawrenceville, GA 30043

980-272-6905 (nspire)
770-925-8093 (Patricia Kennard)
678-985-7070 (nspire)
404-925-8093
770-682-6458 (Pam Kennard)
678-985-1313 (Pam & Kennyboy)

It would sure be terrible if someone were to visit these criminals at their home address and cause them a problem, so don't, no matter how much hate you might feel for a crooked minister stealing from the Christian community.

http://www.bbb.org/charity-reviews/atlanta/re ... eville-ga-38377 http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/whistle ... asking-d/nYT8p/

Work numbers for relatives, friends and aquantinces will be posted anong with financial data..

The only thing we can hope is that some enterprising soul will visit Kennard and his ugly wife and convince them to go into an honest line of work. I find Louisville Sluggers quite effective, particularly against wives and children while Kennard is forced to watch. He won't care about his wife, of course, but kneecapping the fake church rapise himself he won't be able to ignore.

RT, you are truly an IDIOT. Where is any proof that NSPIRE is a scam? These people are asking for donations of OLD CLOTHING and you say Greg is "financing his lifestyle" through old tee shirts and blue jeans?? LOL
People on here complaining that a driver ran over their mailbox....oh yeah, they must be a scam. And yes, I`m sure he had someone post a few fake comments so that this RIDICULOUS forum doesnt hamper people from donating. Thats the problem with these forums, idiots get to speak their mind.
Heres a free tip folks...if you dont like the way that NSPIRE does business, dont donate anything and tell them to add you to the DNC lists...there u go, end of story...problem solved.
RT....get a life man! Haha

This is just too stupid to believe.  Look at the comments left by "fas" and "df".  They were left one month apart but are exactly the same down to the last letter.  All positive comments are just spam.  Gregg Kennard is a crook, has always been a crook and will always be a crook.  He has found a way to scam people out of there goods and then sells them to finance his ((and his extended family's)) own lifestyle.  NSpire Outreach is nothing more than a funding source.  If only the money he scams from all of the donors could be used by those in need.  (and I don't mean Gregg - Although he is in more need of christ than the homeless he says he is helping.)  Again - look at these two comments.  It  can only be a scam.

I was able to get a job, food and clothing from NSpire.  BUt they also gave me something more.  A reason to live.  I had made several attempts to commit suicide.  I thought my life had no meaning and was going nowhere.  Now at 50 I am going back to school, getting back in order and my life feels more complete physically, spiritually and mentally.  I'd like to thank Gregg Kennard and the NSpire team for putting so much effort into helping the homeless.  nspireoutreach.org

I have had nothing but problems with donating to NSpire.  I received a call about donating and told them I would have some things for them on the scheduled pick up date.  They called the night before to confirm but no one showed up to pick up my things.  I called and was informed that it would be 2 weeks before they could get back out to my house.  I agreed to wait another 2 weeks and once again, they called the night before and still did not get my items picked up.  This is after receiving other calls from other organization whom I told no because I had already commited to NSpire.  This will be the last time I donate anything to them.  I have a ton of stuff for them to pick up and I've had to keep it covered because of the weather.  They are the ones who called me asking for donations.  Absolutely ridicilous and very frustrating!  Don't waste your time.  My suggestion is to take your items to Goodwill or use Disabled Veterans who has always picked up when they said they would.

Clearly, those who think these kinds of rules are unfair have NEVER worked with the homeless.
It is a VERY difficult group to help. There are reasons that these folks are on the street and it takes some serious effort to get them to try to help themselves. They need rigid structure that very few groups are willing to provide. The success rate is VERY low because the homeless have already given up. There is often a substance abuse issue, so giving the person money is not the best idea either. It is better to put it aside for them and teach them how to handle money first...as this group seems to be doing. So, it is not abuse to withhold their pay till a later date. I am sure it is all a mutual agreement. They will just spend it and wind up right back where they started. The homeless are often not in a functional mindset and they require counciling. It is great to hear Nspire has councilers working with them. A person does not need to have a license to share helpful common sense. Those of you who scoff the power of a person who has heart to help have clearly never been the recipient of that kind of love and determination. If you don't understand it purhaps that is why you are suspicious of it.
Importantly...it is not abuse to house 5 people in a 2 bedroom apartment!! Especially when the alternative is sleeping on the street!
If this group has only ONE person that has been helped...that is pretty impressive, in my opinion.
I have been involved in homeless ministry. I have seen them come for free food by the hundreds. I have never seen even ONE of them get off the street- despite having EVERY opportunity handed to them.
If this group, 'christian' or not, has something that has helped TEN homeless people become productive, then we all need to get behind it. There are 2 people who were helped that recount their personal experience right here on this board..that is enough for me!

Legit or not, they have annoyed me so much with their repeated calls to the point that I canceled my donation. They need some coordination between various employees, and whoever is running this needs some management and organization skills. After I informed them that I will be donating clothes, I received 4 calls from 4 different persons within 2 hours on the day preceding the day they were supposed to pick up. All 4 calls asked me to confirm the donation. As I was telling the last caller that they need to put their act together and coordinate, he slammed the phone on me. So I decided not to leave anything in my driveway for them and instead I took the clothes to my local church.

I did a little research about this program and it's participants.  apparently a pastor who's name is Gregg Kennard has come up with a program that houses the homeless and gives them jobs, education opportunities and other great advantages to help them remodel their lives.  All they ask is for you to donate clothes.  Clothes you don't use! it's a wonderful program.  Here's a video about the program that sheds light on this great program.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqHDHaINse8&feature=plcp

Nspire Outreach is a very legitimate charity.  In the year 2011 they have employed dozens of homeless people in the metro atlanta areea, North carolina and L.A.  Please support gregg Kennard and this charity.  They are not only employing the homeless, they are also giving them workout regiments, counceling, and multiple types of coaching such as money management and job readiness.  Please visit their website for more info http://www.nspireoutreach.org

I guess it's the holidays but Inspire has started calling me every day.  They won't leave a message.  But the number is different, it's still a 678 number but the rest is 298-2073.  I did a google search and that's how I found this site.  So, don't fall for their tricks.  Give to local charities, or go to your childs school as I did and ask if there is a needy family and give to them.  It warms your heart.  So, just be aware of Inspire, they say they are non-profit but I really wonder after some of what I've read about them.

Don't kid yourself. These people are crooks in evey sence of the word. They hide behide a church to avoid regulations set by the Secretary of State. If you do support them, you are only lining their pockets as very little goes to help those in need. They ONLY help themselves! They also tow any competitors donation boxes and replace them with theirs. What kind of minitry condones that! STAY AWAY!

Hi Gregg & Staff,

I am really glad to see the wonderful progress that has been made by you and your organization in such a short period of time.  I was fortunate enough to participate in your program and it had a very positive effect on me.  Whenever I am confronted with negativity or "destructive" criticism, I simply remember a favorite adage of Judy's.  Judy would say, "the speech is about the speaker", in other words consider the source and ulterior motives.  Your program is very comprehensive and invaluable for those who are serious about a "second chance".
Thanks again for your support.  I was accepted into the NC TEACH licensure program and hope to start in the spring for pedagogical training to teach high school science and math.  Ultimately, I envision (vision board) working abroad in a francophone country, e.g, Haiti in Health Education for an NGO.  Additionally, I want to create a web-based business, i.e. Quality Portraits by Mel.  I would do portraits of people and animals in oil, pastel or pencil.
Presently, I am registered to do substitute teaching and would need to complete at least one year of F/T teaching as a requisite for licensure.  Also, I am registered with many local temporary employment agencies.
My relationships with family members is about the SAME but I have a greater insight into the reasons for it.  My mother recently turned 88 y.o. and she is in reasonably good health.  I have come to appreciate spiritual blessings more and to value material things less.

Take care,
Ronnie M

I am a certified professional coach and I have been involved with this program since its onset.  This program has made a dramatic impact in these peoples lives, whether they graduated or not.  Nspire Atlanta Outreach offers a hand up, not a hand out.  The clients are required to engage in vocational. educational, and motivational opportunities.  They are quite possibly for the first time provided with options.  Thank you to all of you who have supported this important program.

Stay away from most of these charities as they are just using you to line teir own pockets. Very little of the profits go to help anyone. I use American Kidney Services for all my donations and they always come when they say they are and always leave me a receipt.

This company is exploiting homeless people. This company is housing five people in two bedroom apartments, having homeless people work nine hours a day, and giving them $50 dollars a week to survive on. On top of that this company is charging the homeless people $400 to live in a two bedroom apartment with four additional people. They claim that they are holding on to the homeless clients money until the end of a year's term, but does not offer their clients their money with interest at the end of the year's term. Within the company's 5 year term they have graduated probably 10 people at best. So their success ratio is less than one percent. In addition, this company makes the homeless do various chores without additional pay on their days off. This company hides behind a church, and gets away with unethical practices. The homeless clients are also being forced to go to the nspire church whether or not it is in agreement with their personal religion. The homeless clients are being forced to adhere to whatever ruling the nspire commititee desires. They also make them exercise three days a week with a one regimen fits all, on top of nine hours a day work schedule. Plus the trainer is not a professional trainer. The government or the better business bureau needs to investigate this company because they are only helping themselves by exploiting the homeless people who are in dire need.

I have provided clothing and other items to Nspire for quite some time now.  They have always performed as promised.  If your biggest problem is with a receipt, perhaps you should consider the "gift" you have provided instead of the "gift" you will receive.
