This number continues bothering..... how can it be stopped?

These people called my cell number and asked for me by my first name and then said, "Oh, is your last name Jones and are your last 4 digits of your social security number 1234?"  I said, "No, my last name is Smith.  How did you get this number?"  They said it was a "mistake" and they wouldn't call again.  5 minutes later, my mother is calling me and telling me that they are calling in "reference to a 2 part complaint" against me.  Left a phone number but when you call back, you can't get through??????  Totally a scam.

This number had call me sister looking for my daughter telling my sister that they got a complain in there office have a warrant out for my daughter's arrest too. They said it is regard my daughter's ex boyfriend who is in jail right now. his I think is a big scam trying to scrae people what does anybody think about this?

I have received numerous phone calls from #678-436-8823  I do not answer and they leave  a message everytime telling me that if they did not here back from me by the end of the day they would have to go to the authorities...I dont even know what this is about and they do not disclose much when they call.  Its getting annoying.

The place is called southern asset recovery (i googled the number) and they called and said they had a restraining order for an unpaid loan I am not aware of.  How can you have a restraining order for an unpaid loan?  they also left another message about a file they have open with the police.  I believe these ways of threatening is not a legal way to collect including ways to collect that are not valid especially if I do not know what they are talking about.  they don't identify themselves and don't ask who they are calling for. they keep calling and I put them on the reject list but they still leave messages.   The best thing to do is not acknowledge them at all, but I might look into unfair practices of threatening to collect on a debt I am not aware of.  

I received a call about a payday loan that was included in a bankruptcy lady year, called the payday loan company and they told me they no longer were handling an account with me. I called the company Southern Asset Recovery back and told them they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to scam people.

This company called to say they were getting ready to contact the police and have them pick me up because I owed a payday loan in July 11th 2011. I owed $1300.  That was not the amount of the loan it was probably $700- $800 but with taxes and fees it was $1300.  They also said that my family will have to pay $1300 tonight to get me out of this trouble.  They are calling my job and told me they had my address, driver's license number with the picture on it, and I better act today or else.

I am receiving calls from Loan Mediation @ 865-329-7051 a Ms. Farmer stating I owe a payday loan and harrassing my relatives about this. I did some investigating and found that this company is Charter Communications @ 865-329-7071 located in 3001 Knoxville Center Drive, Knoxville TN 37924 they do not know me. They want me to settle for $279.00 on a PDL that I do not own. Do not pay these people who call from either of these numbers.

They keep calling me about a friend. I tell them to take my name of the list and they hang up, but they keep calling. I just had a call on Monday 10/14/13. Again I told the lady to please not call me and to remove my name. The next time I'm reporting the number to the BBB. They are also very rude.

They continue to call my line for a friend whom I do not have communications with and have not honored my request to discontinue contact with me about this matter. Ready to seek legal counsel regarding the issue.

This company would only tell me their name was S.A.R. - then proceeded to give me my information and ask me to verify it. Anyone could verify information you are giving them! They also called my temporary job assignment. I asked them to NOT call me at work and they continued to call back several times.

I keep getting a call from this number asking for someone I do not know.  What do I do.  I have no idea who this person is .  They leave a message for a person who is not related to my phone number.
