Hey Alan-  go ahead and sue.  It's better than harassing the s*** out of people.  If you think there is a legal debt owed, file suit.  Tell the "attorney" you work for that he is clearly scraping the bottom of the barrel.  What a disgrace.

Who cares if they call.  If I don't owe, I don't owe.  Call them back every ten minutes for about and hour, they will stop.

These guys called and were incredibly rude and are trying to convince us that we're obligated to pay a debt after ch7 discharge because they aren't on the creditor list. You'd think a law firm would know that in a no asset ch7 all unsecured debts listed or otherwise are covered and discharged. Person named Denise Merritt with Ross Gelfand. Used to call the full 6 allowable times a day. Not always during appropriate business hours.

I called the number, they said it was a law office, Giefand or Gilfand. They asked for my phone number and I refused. I would think they have caller ID if they are legit. Told them if they continue to call I would report them. My caller ID came up as "Ross A". I recieved this call on 4/2/14 at about 3:30 pm EST. I let the answering machine pick up, they did not leave a message, I only heard someone breathing and typing.

Number is a law firm, specifically the one someone said already. They sound sketch. I called back to see who called, and the woman hung up on me after I wasn't the person they were attempting to reach.

They called and did not leave a voicemail. Then a few minutes later they sent a text message saying "please call 6784615952".  Interesting approach toward debt collection.

a  stop calling people phone if you are a collection agency , you are just that it not too important you leave no messages. stay the hell off my line!!!!

This number has been calling me for MONTHS and well as my business line which is legal.  They NEVER leave a message so I have no clue who it is!!!

They keep calling my cell phone I have repeatedly told them I will pass thier message on but not just a name and number and if they cant leave a message donnt call my number as I dont have a debt with them.  At that point sherrie williams who has used 3 different names began yelling I hung up on her and called to seak to a supervisor and was rerouted to her three times.  You shoul be able to get the recordings ms. Simmons & ms.reed were the other names she used but when I questioned her she said she was the same women and proceeded to yell at me and tell me to quit yelling at her and dont be hanging up on her.  I dont have a debt with these crazy people and they keep saying they are calling from an attorneys office.

Got a call from this number today.  Refused to tell me who he was or who he was with until I told him who I was.  He called me.  I don't have to provide information to anyone that calls me.  Very rude.

Received a call from this number.  They do not leave a message.  Not sure who they are.

i have recieved several calls from 678-461-5952 which is a land line in liburn,georgia which is a collection
agency! they must be calling numbers at random! don't answer that report it.

Called at 8:31 this morning. Did not leave a message, but sat there for a second to see if someone would answer.

These people have been calling me since November. I thought I was the only one being harrassed. I do not answer and most times they don't leave voicemail. I was going to call the company I have a debt with but not dealing with these guys. Not suppose to have a debt because i was suppose to receive a letter saying debt is cleared with my situation but that wasn't the case. Guess they won't get the money now.

These are The Law Offices of Ross Gelfand,LLC. This is NOT a law office per se, as law offices typically are incorporated as LLPs. This is, however, a debt collecting company with a rather aggressive collection strategy. Their most recent strategy involves calling someone, and if they get voicemail, they will then send a text message to the number that says "Please call 678-461-5952". Presumably, this cryptic message will prompt curious callers to call back...and that's how they get you.

Reccomendation: If you get a Text message with no sender ID and a request to call back, DON'T. You are more than likely going to be harassed into paying some old debt...and it doesn't matter if you are not the person who owes it, so long as you call back. They'll tell you that you are lying and harrass you anyway.

Debt collect for someone that I don't know.

Called many times looking for someone that I don't know to collect a debt.  I am on the "do not call" list, but it apparently is not working.  I'd like 5 min. alone with these guys.

They called my cell phone and I don't know how they got it because I don't give it out. The guy demanded that I call him at a different 800 number.(In a message),  I wish I knew how to block calls on my phone. I don't care if they call a million times because I won't answer. I don't take my cell phone to my room when I go to sleep and don't have a home phone anymore.  These people who want nothing but to harrass, just don't let them do it.

Called me twice this am once at 5:35 and once at 5:37. Both times when I answered the phone they hung up. I called back and got the Gelfand Ross vm system phone tree. Left a message telling them to leave me alone, as I do not have any debts in collections and I'm on the Do Not Call List (which is apparently useless, I seem to get more telemarketing calls on the list than I did when I wasn't on the list). Even if I did have debts, calling a debtor before 8 am or after 9 pm is against the law and is considered harrasment. As a law firm you'd think they'd know that.

Called me looking for someone I am related to.. said they was a "law office"... made it sound serious.

This person called but did not leave a message on answering machine. Will not call them back and am aware that this is a debt collection office looking for someone who doesn't live here.

My daughter received a phone call on her cell, they asked for her Aunt who she has not seen or heard from in 10 years, they asked if my daughter had her number and she said no, they kept asking her over and over in a tone thatfrightened my daughter.

My question is how would they get my daughters cell phone number? She didn't have a cell phone the last time she saw her aunt?
