calls work number and hangs up  no business name on caller id

We are receiving a daily call to our business line from this number, when we answer the caller hangs-up.  When you call the number back all you hear is clicking - the phone does not ring.  Our caller ID reads: CCLD

According to "Crystal" who called us (a business) from this number, this is "AT&T Business Account Management Group in Atlanta"

Don't know who this is.  But would wish they would calling my business and hanging up. Irriatating as all get out.

I have been receiving calls from this number.  These calls are every few days - enough for me to forget this is not a viable call.  When I answer with business name, the call ends - nothing said.  
I called back to the number, but the call is automatically terminated.  AT&T is our provider, so it could be them.  
This is annoying, and costly, since it disturbs my concentration on work - giving me an unscheduled break with nothng positive to show for it.

The company name is "Convention Center Long Distance".
They are an Atlanta, Georga based telemarketing company that picks up open contracts (from companies like AT&T) for upgrading existing services (like dsl).  Because they got their phone list from a company whom with you are already a customer, they are able to get around the Do Not Call Registry.

Companies like this are a pain in the a**, but it is actually AT&T who is to blame.  They should never paint a target on their paying customers so that hounds like CCLD can open fire.

Write down the date, time, and phone #, then CALL AT&T AND COMPLAIN.

I have a very similar number, it's my cell phone # I am getting calls from a lot of people saying that I am calling them. It's NOT me! my # is not 678-500-7700 but it is very close, so please be careful when you see 678-500-7700 on your caller ID and please stop calling me and blaming me for calling you. Thank you

just called - hung up immediately - caller ID says "BAMG"

I CALLED AT & T.   HAD THE CALL TRACED. IT BELONGS TO AN UNKNOWN GROUP WHO HAS PURCHASED SEVERAL NUMBERS APPARENTLY FOR NO GOOD REASON.  THE PHONE COMPANY IS POWERTEL IN ATLANTA GA. LETS AT LEAST GET THE RIGHT PHONE COMPANY TO BLAME.

This is a scam.  they pretend to be AT&T.  they sell lines and service

THIS IS NOT AT&T PHONE NUMBER. WE HAVE BEEN GETTING THESE CALLS ALSO AND THE NAME COMES UP AS CCLD AND LATELY AS BAMG. USE YOUR CALL TRACE FEATURE ON YOUR LINE AND THE CALL CAN BE TRACED.

They keep calling our law office. I found your comment on the web and made that call to Jim. He will remove our number from whatever list we are on and i wanted to thank you so much!!!!!!!

Please lock these filthy, stinking, criminal rat spammers in a spaceship, and launch it right towards the sun. I don't even want their ashes on this earth. That would be a fitting tribute to these scamming, disease carrying rodents.

More irritation from the wonderful world of spammers/scammers.

There is no doubt in my mind that the phone companies could put a quick stop to this if they wanted to, but since they profit off it, they don't. Tougher laws need to be passed to arrest and prosecute these scamming criminals, and hold the phone companies accountable for their actions of continuing to provide phone service to these boiler room, criminal organizations.

Repeatedly getting calls from this number on several of my phones lines everyday. How do I make them stop?

I found these people, we are getting several calls also.  Call 1-404-222-5500 ask for Jim, tell him to tell the to take you off the list, Also mention how annoying it is.

I have been getting calls from this number more and more frequently, but they have been hang up calls. Today someone actually answered and said they were "Sandy" with "AT&T" asking for the owner.
