I recvd a call from Mel Clark today at work 3/26/09 saying I owe money on a loan. He did the same thing threatened me with Jail. When I told him I called the company who I had the loan with he got irritated.

He was calling my friend, also threaten to take her to jail.  Actually told her that there is going to be an arrest warrant for her by today (5/20/09). She called him back to ask where should she turn herself in and he got so irriated with her, never answering the question. He will not give her any information about him or his company. EVERYONE PLEASE ASK QUESTION BEFORE GIVING ANY INFORMATION ON THE PHONE TO ANYONE.

Received a call today from "Mel Clark" wanting me to call him back at the number listed above, good thing I'm the receptionist and just transfered him to my voicemail.  Thanks to this site I won't be calling him back, anybody who needs to reach me can call me on my cell phone including bill collectors.

Got a call from Mel Clark asking me to call him back. Wanting my credit card number for a bill. He got very mad when I tried to get imformation on account saying I need you numbers. Please people do not call him back.

A man called my friend about a fraud payday loan or something asking for me husband and our address, last week a man with an Indain accent called us on our cell claiming he was calling about an urgent legal matter, think same idiots, reporting to the FTC. Blessings

I got a threatening phone call from this Mel Clark stating that he was an investigator with the investigative unit.  It was in regards to a payday loan that I had.  He told me that I have a warrant for my arrest for check fraud.  He said that the sheriff was coming to get me immediately at work and that the minimum penalty was 1year in prison and a large fine.  Right away I knew this did not sound correct.  I told him that I did not commit any kind of check fraud and that I would like to speak with the company about making payments and reducing a fees that have occurred.  He said they don't do that and he also said he was going to run a back round check and if I had any other outstanding checks that it would not matter and I would be arrested anyway.  He said if I make a payment that he would stop the order to come arrest me.  When I told him that he cannot threaten me with that he got very angry and told me to contact my lawyer to get me out of this and that the sheriff would be here to pick me up soon.  I contacted the Attorney Generals office and it is illegal for any debit collector to tell you that you have committed a crime and that you are going to be arrested.  Do not give this guy or credit card info and contact your local Attorney Generals office.

He threatend me also, but he has messed with the wrong person that works for a prominent Senator in Utah...Beware Mr. Mel Clark, we will be filing faud and harassment charges against you. You are obviously Indian and not a United States Citizen otherwise you would know that all the things you are saying is harassment and against OUR laws!!!  You should be packing your bags and heading back to India because if you are found guilty, you will be put away for some time!!! Debt Collectors cannot threaten jail or sheriff. So Mr. Dumb s**t what are you going to do now!! Better run cause they have your number, San Diego Laweforcement and Attrorney General has your number!!!!

If you get a lawsuit started or are interested please let me know.  I have contacted Krohn & Moss, Ltd. about this matter.  They are a law firm that specializes in this sort of thing.  They are going to do some research and get back to me.  The did say that what he did is very illegal.  I have seen several complaints about this guy all over the web.  I think its time that somebody puts a stop to him.

I received a call from a Mel Clark today at work, stating that I had a check fraud against me for a payday loan I had once taken. He also asked if the sheriff office had come to my work today. I stated  no. I left worked and called him on my cell phone, he said if I didn't pay this by 3:00 pm of 1280.00 that he would issue a warrant for my arrest within 24/48 hours. I contacted my lawyer about this matter.

Mel Clarke called about my husband today to bad for the dumb a** that he got me instead I am studing to be a paralegal and know the county DA's in my area i called the one locally at home and talked to him about this little punk who stated he is an FBI agent in the Interent check fraud unit (HES SO FULL OF HIMSELF HE WOULDNT EVEN PASS THE BACKGROUND CHECK NEEDED TO USE THERE RESTROOMS) well anyways they told me to contact the AG in MI and Georgia where this BIOTch lives then I contacted the FTC and the secret services cause my husband is Retired navy well then i called this b***h back with a recorder going and got the whole convestation of his lies and threats and now i will be filing a lawsuit against him for his lies and harrasment have fun in jail numb nuts and BTW hes a fake call your local Secret service and they will tell you the same thing

Stated he was an investigator named Mel Clark and that he believed that he had a possible check fraud against me in his office. He used a hyphenated name that I haven't used in years and in fact I haven't had a checking account for years.

I too have been called and threatened by a Harvey Sloan who said I owed money from a past payday loan. And if I did not pay I would be arrested or have some kind of action against me. After researching and reading others with the same issue, I do feel much better.

Received a call from Mel Clark saying that I owe $895 for a worthless check from 3 years ago. Told him I was willing to pay my debt, but I would have to get a pre-paid card and put the money on it. After talking to him I decided to google his number because he never said whom he was woking for. Low and behold I get all this information here about him. I called him back and told him that I had spoken with my lawyer and was advised not to pay unless I can get in writing how much and to whom I owe the money. He immediately got pissed off and told me I would be arrested and I need to keep my lawyer available. I told him that I will go turn myself in if he told me where to go. He told don't worry about it because they will pick me up. I laughed and told him just to give me the information on the company and this dumba-- hung up.

"Investigator" Mel Clark has called my phone number twice already today in regard to my sister. He asked if I could get this message to her soon re: "a business deal" of hers.  I said I'd think about it. Later, my sister called and said he asked for her credit card number to pay a debt, and when she refulsed, he threateded her at work and at home to pay up or else!

He told her he planned to call her sister (me) every day at 8:00 am until either she came up with the money/credit card number, or I gave him my credit card number.

This man is scary and dangerous!!!

Today I was asked to go to the office at my work, human resources gave me a message to call Tate Kemper. They dialed the number for me and a lady answered never repeated her name but said there was an investigation with internet fraud on me from 3 years ago I had taken out a loan on the internet and it was for 465.00. She preceded to say the amount now was 930.00 and Quickest Cash wanted there money now. She said if I did not pay 465.00 today she would walk my paperwork over to the Court house process it and there would be a warrant out for my arrest. Then proceeded to say if you want I can have them come to your work and how that would be an embarressment for me. I was getting scared. When I got home I was telling my husband and he said right off the bat. Investigators do not collect money, and how would she walk the paperwork across the street from Georgia when I live in Ohio. She also put her boss on the phone and get this his name is none other than Mel Clark

"Mel Clark" Called my office extension looking for an employee, after refusing to give him any info because he would not tell me where he was calling from he became very irritated.  Wouldn't let me finish asking questions and just kept repeating himself that he was an investegator and needed to know if I knew this person.  I took a message and wrote down the number from my caller ID.  I thought something was fishy so i looked up the # and found all this.  I showed the employee and told him he should probably contact the police.

I would have recorded the phone conversation and then contact the local police department.

My father called me at home and told me that a man was looking for me and he was an investigator. So I called him back and he immediately started yelling and threating me. He said that I had a warrant out for my arrest for $1,900.00 pay day loan that I suposely wrote a "HOT CHECK" for. He asked for my credit card and bank account information and when i declined he started threating and cussing me again. He said that if the debt was not paid by the end of the night that he would have me arrested by the end of the night, CPS would take my 2yr old son away from me, and have my wife kicked out of our home. I asked for letter of proof and he had said he sent out 8 letters and called numerously! (he lied). I called him out on it and once again he raised his voice and began threats and cussing at me. He said that I had feloniesdue to this "$1,900.00 hot check" and I would regret it tonight if I did not pay this now! What can we do about this? I reported him and the number to a local Houston, Tx news station and I am waiting to hear something back. Ohh by the way, when he called my father he asked for Mr. Richardson.. he never actually wanted me... my father just thought automatically it was for me, so basically he wanted anyone with that last name at that residence. BEWARE OF THE JOKER! He kept changing his name from Mel clark to Dan Clark..

A Mel Clark called and harrassed a family member about a bounced check and needing the money now.  If not they would go to jail.  we were willing to pay a legit unpaid bill for them....once we researched it we saw all the info on this number and name.  Total scam.  Mel Clark is SCUM.

THEY CALLED MY WORK AND FIRST SCARED ME TELLING ME THAT SOMEONE WROTE A BAD CHECK OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO COLLECT AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A WARRANT OUT FOR MY ARREST.  AFTER FURTHERING INVESTIGATING THIS IS A COLLECTION AGENCY AND SCAM ARTISTS.  I CALLED BACK FROM A BLOCKED NUMBER AND RECEIVED AS MUCH INFORMATION FROM THIS COMPANY AND EMAILED THE FITC.  THEY CANNOT HAVE YOU ARRESTED FOR NOT PAYING A DEBT, IF THAT WAS THE CASE, HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WOULD BE IN JAIL!! THEY CAN TAKE YOU TO COURT, BUT THE JUDGES HERE IN CALIFORNIA WILL ONLY HAVE YOU PAY WHAT THE TRUE AMT IS DUE AND NOTHING ABOVE....

I got a call from  invesitgator Mel Clark at Delenaor Kemper and Associates in regards to a check that I left uncleared for   2 and half years... I was really nervous  because I knew that I had to clear this up and I thought that I could just leave these checks outstanding..... So I paid  up  because I didnt want to go to court... I have a friend  that went to jail because of this  and i didnt want to end up like him.... My Advise is if you give these bad checks and dont have  no intention on paying it stop.... Take care this debt because its serious....

lee page called me and told me there was a complaint filed against me from ezloan. i needed to pay so much money every 2 weeks until debt satisfied or they will turn over to their attorneys and take me to court and garnish me. i asked what was the lowest payment i could make. she said hold on a minute. she put me on hold for 30 seconds, came back and said she spoke with ezloan and they gave her a specific number. whatever!!!! that is so bogus! do these people really think we are that stupid?!!!!!! GEEZ! i asked for a letter stating how much i owe and to who. i have never recieved it even though they say they mailed it 2 weeks ago. bs!!!!! i am not going to pay these freaks!!!!

call my job and said that i need to give him a thousand dollars for a check fraud he told me to go to walmart and get a preepaid card with the visa logo on it then call him back with the number so that he can get his money he did not say with what company he want tell what company i owe he just told me to send him the money he was very mean and harsh.

This man call my job and also said that if i did not give him a 1000 that i would be arrested he said it was check fraud that i has wrote a bogus check  he did not say where to send the money too he told me to go to walmart and get a pre paid card with the visa logo on it and then call him to get the number off of it so he can get his money who is this man?

This is not legal! I just checked on the atturney generals website and he cannot threaten you, or make you beleive you will be arrested or charged with a crime if you don't pay a debt. I filed a complaint with the AGO just a few minutes ago. He has called my husband's employer many times, his friend, and my mother.
