If it is a real bank (ex: "GE Money Bank or GEMB"), they have a federal banking regulator.  Find out - call them back or ask them.  Check with your State banking or financial services department.  Then write a letter about the harassing, continuous phone calls.  If they are a collector, contact the FTC, they have a complaint form on their website.

How can they call your family members? That's like patients confidentuallity

I do  not even owe them money neither do I have a JCP card but they just call non stop.  You can't even email them.  It is very annoying.

Just stop using illegal collection tactics. Or get a real job.

Caller calls up to 10 times a day, never leaves a message

I get these calls at all times of the day & night & any day of the week. They were calling about a past due credit card for J C Penny's. Mind you after investicating they discovered I owe $30.18 of which $16.93 is due on Dec. 20th, today is Dec. 10th...the remaining balance will not be due until Jan, of 2012. To say the least I let them know I do not appreciate this & until I said it isn't past due it's the current balance he still acted like I owed it WTF. Foriegn voice to boot. They are suppose to quit calling now...if not I am filing a harrassment case...THIS IS RIDICULOUS, they should be giving me a gift card just to shop in Penny's again!!!

Have called 6 times in last 4 hours. Just got a call from them as I am typing this.

I keep getting these calls and no one is there. They call me up to 20 times a day. Isnt there a law against this? They never leave a message, just call at all hours of the day!

what is scary is when you have an unlisted private number and get these calls, and they say nothing

Debt collector from JC Penny. Never had an account, and certainly wouldn't get one now. Call asks you to hold, and drops you after 2 minutes if they dont pick up. They finally answered once after I had received several calls. I asked to be removed from their list, but the calls keep coming from another number. I had this cell number for 9 years. I think I will send them a bill for my airtime.

I got tons of call from this number. I dont even have any credit card accounts! Here's how I fixed it (so far they havent called anyways) Call GE Money, dont let them transfer you, because they will (I got transfered no less then eight times before I told the guy he needed to fix my problem). Dont give them your ss#, they can fix the problem without it but theyll try to convince you that they have to have it to do anything! Finally I got transfer to a department in GE Money that took down my number and put a note not to call anymore (be warned most of the representatives in GE Money that I talked to were extremly rude and shady! Dont let your self be taken advantage of!)

I get this number about twice daily. How can I find out who this is. They never leave messages.

Just got off the phone with Katherine.  She refused to disclose the company she was with and therefore I refused to disclose whether the person she was calling was available.  I hate bill collectors that try to wriggle out of disclosing the nature of their call.  I have told them they are calling a business and that they need to stop calling.  They never stop.  I have tried to get an address to send them a cease and desist letter but thus far have not been able to.

yep, they call me every 2 hours 8am - 9pm and when I answer, it doesn't go thru, just hangs up!

I'm getting these calls too. I also get calls from a 6785183100. I answered one and it said "Please hold for an operator." I hung up. It's some sort of telemarketer, I think.

I've been getting calls from this number for weeks.  You need to wait for that operator and tell them they have the wrong number and would they please take you off their call list.  The calls will stop.  They have to by law.
